Feathered Friday - With Fluffy Critters

Here is a cardinal and some other fluffy critters for this #featheredfriday

The gloomy rainy days of late winter make the cardinals really pop out in the forest.

They seemed happy it is getting much warmer. This one has a bit of something in its beak, maybe a red spider mite?

Now here it is leaping up the branch, pretty funny hovering technique.

Now its off to eat some seeds from last year. I also saw quite a few blue jays but they were to high up in the tree and looked just like a silhouette.

Later on I saw a nice healthy coyote. Quite camouflage in the fallen leaves. To get it to look at the camera I made a wounded rabbit squeak noise and it worked like a charm.

Meanwhile the squirrels were all up in the trees eating walnuts. I'm sure the coyote would love to get its jaws on one of these guys for breakfast.

Here's an orange version of the same fox squirrel. I think it thought I was challenging it for territory as I was imitating its barking noise to get it to look at the camera. One of these days I'll meet a brazen one that will fight me as I bark at it for better shots.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Thanks @jocabanero4 :-)

Nice shots of these cute animals.

Thanks :-) I'm hoping to get alot more soon now that its finally getting warmer again.

This winter has been the coldest in 25 years. Every day since this arctic cold started I have had 2 squirrels eating for several hours and all the small birds. I give them apples, nuts, grains of all kinds. Yesterday we had 19 degrees Celsius, minus! It seems like winter has left where you live? The photos are incredibly good.
Meeting a wolf is exotic, here in Sweden they want to kill all the wolves!

Today the winter came back just barely under freezing here. The critters are all still ok. Its good that you feed all those poor things during the cold months. Also they are fun to watch.

Thanks :-)

This is a wonderful photograph of this creature. The perfect shot.

I'm always happen when I can see one, quite elusive but around here you can hear lots of them howling at night.
