I use to say a similar thing your brothers say: "before the social media, only your family and friends knew you're stupid, now the whole world knows". :D
When someone tell me he/she think people are stupid because they wrote something stupid on the social, I use to reply that people was stupid before too, but just few people knew about it. ^_^
