Nine years ago, a fellow stacker from the YouTube community, @mikegpo, gifted me with a Charlottetown Commemorative.
It took me this long to get another piece, but this time the prooflike version.
1964 Canada Silver Dollar Charlottetown Commemorative
I love the effigy of the very young Elizabeth II here. She is depicted when she was 27 years old.
In the reverse is a unique emblem of (from the top, clockwise) the French fleur-de-lis, the Irish shamrock, the Scottish thistle, and the English rose.
1964 Canada Silver Dollar, a gift from @mikegpo 1964 Canada Silver Dollar BU/Prooflike
These are the commemorative coins that marked the 100th Anniversary of the Charlottetown and Quebec Conferences. It celebrates the moments when a group of people with bold ideas sat down to dialogue and dared to imagine a new kind of nation- Canada.
