Came across an interesting prompt in this community and decided to put my pen down to write a simple 5 minute writing post.
The work season had been a little dry and it has been in the mode of grinding for the past few months. With every piece of work completed, 5 more appear and there seem to be no light seen at the end of the tunnel. Morale in the workplace is dropping, time to time I hear many another fellow worker resign and leaving for a better place.
I am not sure how I am going to cope, it was told that I should escalate to my management for help, but it looked like they are in no better situation. Things weren't in this state a year ago, did external political created much more striving and poorer work situation around in the company? I miss the culture that the company had previously.
Just a week ago, an announcement of a new leader will be coming back to the company and leading us. Will there be a new dawn? Only time will tell. Otherwise, maybe it is also time for me to bid goodbye to this company that is all about endless grinding.
