Today I want to share with you my analysis of one of my recent ranked games in League of Legends: Wild Rift, which left me with an incredible feeling. Although I wasn't the MVP, my performance as support with Milio, the Gentle Flame, earned me a well-deserved S Rank and was key to our victory.
It was a battle that lasted 18 minutes and 19 seconds, a considerable amount of time in Wild Rift. The final score of 32-19 in our favor reflects a progressive dominance, but believe me, every fight was a trial by fire.
My Personal Experience: Playing with Milio
Picking Milio is always a statement of intent: my goal isn't to get kills, but to immortalize my team. Milio is a pure enchanter, and my playstyle is based on impeccable positioning and anticipation.
My final stats, 3/3/23, tell the perfect story of a support. The 23 assists mean I was involved in 81.25% of my team's 32 kills. I was everywhere! My three deaths were necessary sacrifices or minor mistakes, but my three kills were the result of strategic poking or securing elusive kills.
S Performance: The system said it all: "Incredible performance. Higher than most players in the same rank." This isn't just because of the KDA; it's because of the Vision, Objective Participation, and Shield/Heal Output, which with Milio must be massive.
Synergy in the Bot Lane and Beyond
Our AD Carry was Jinx (PRIESTJUNIOR), who ended up being the MVP with an amazing 14/3/10. My main job in the bot lane was simple: maximize Xayah's damage and keep her alive.
Boosting Damage: Using my E (Warm Embrace) on Jinx, I gave her not only a shield, but also that precious range and attack speed buff. This allowed her to punish Ashe and the Nautilus (likely an ADC or a mid laner who went bot) from a safe distance.
Zone Control: My Q (Ultra-Mega Rocket Blast) was used constantly to disrupt enemy engages and gain an advantage in poke.
The Lifesaver: This is where Milio shines. My R (Breath of Fire) was religiously saved to counter enemy crowd control (CC), especially to clear any immobilization on Jinx or the mid laner Akshan (Z1geradseishiro). Seeing my carry's health bar rise and break free from CC with my ultimate is the best feeling.
Key Moments of the Game
There were two crucial moments that I remember:
The Roam to Mid: Seeing our Akshan pressured, I made a quick roam. My Q managed to stop a gank from the enemy Shyvana, giving Akshan enough time to reposition and secure the kill. That assist was vital for Akshan to gain momentum.
The Final Fight for the Elder Dragon: The enemy team attempted a desperate all-in. Our Irelia (WOOPER) engaged well, but the enemy response was strong. Jinx and I were on the edge of the fight. When the enemy unleashed all their crowd control, I detonated my ultimate (Breath of Fire) just in time, clearing my team's stuns and slows. Immediately, I applied my E to Jinx, who unleashed her damage mercilessly. The result: a wipe and the victory.
My Build (Item Strategy)
My item selection, while not detailed by name, focused on Ability Haste and Ability Power (AP) to enhance my shields and healing. Prioritizing an item that boosts shields/healing for allies (like the aforementioned Protector's Vow or Chalice) was my top priority. Then, we aimed to reduce the cooldown of my ultimate as quickly as possible.
In short, this game was a masterclass on the importance of support. I was the cog that kept the machine running, and my Milio became the "Gentle Flame" that burned away the enemy team's hopes of victory.
