Greetings!
The movie road war max fury as directed by Mark Atkins is an actions Hollywood movie, if there's a movie I would want to see or watch again, it has to be this movie. The movie started on a note of banishment after a judgment by a set of people that were four in number. These sets comprise of James, Egon, Sarah and the Doc. All these four passed a judgment of banishment on Shane malctosh who has committed a grievous offence, but instead of being hung, Shane was being banished from the land and was warned not to step on the soil of the land again and if he should, he would be killed. Though, Shane felt betrayed as he felt he has done well to save all of them by getting them water to survive on the waste land, but the other four told him it's because of what he did for them that she was not hung nor killed.
So, after all their conversations, he was left alone to those that are refers to as the nomad, those people think the nomads would kill him not knowing that those people that came in were Shane's people, immediately these people came, one of them handed an arrow to him, in which he used to kill James, but before James gave up the ghost, he told Sarah to take care of his two daughters whom Shane has taunted him with as to what would become of them if there's no water for them to survive on the wasteland. Also, before then, Shane has told James he would got what he deserved and James also replied him. So, also sarah. Before James gave up the ghost, after he had told Sarah to take care of their two daughters, he also handed over something like chain to Sarah his wife.
So, fast forward to the wasteland, Greta and Naomi, Sarah's daughter while practicing on how to shoot with the arrows, were not able to recover the arrows and when both came in, Greta who happened to be the eldest told their mother and Egon and because they didn't want to leave any trace to their enemies, they all went out to recover the arrows and in the process, both Sarah and Egon were both injured and could not really got healed because of the lack of antibiotics needed for the healings. So, both Greta and his sister the two daughters of Sarah tried all they could to save their mother and Egon but all to no avail, it was in one of their treating the mother that the mother told Naomi about the medicine to get, but she didn't hear very well, and as a result, the sister chastised her and later, the mother spoke again and she was able to interpret the mother's message and through this, they were able to reach the Doc, who told them.to come for the Cipro antibiotics drug.
Though, the elder sister was at first reluctant to let her sister embarked on the journey, but she later joined her when she saw reasons for them to get the drug and save their mother and Egon. It was on their way that they encountered issues from Shane and his men who were monitoring, but at last, they got the drug. But on the other side, the Doc, whom they called for the drug and agreed to meet them half way was being caught and arrested by Shane and his men, she was threatened to tell them whose car was the car both ladies drove to collect the drug, but the Doc decline and denied by not saying anything about the car even unto death, she kept the secret safe with her.
But, on their way back home, the ladies after they have fetched the drugs encountered another problems as Shane directed his men to hunt them down changing his mind from the order he first gave when the Doc was arrested. When the Doc was arrested, Shane felt there's no need for them to hunt the girls down as the Doc will spew out the truth, but when he realized it was not as he had planned, he called his men to notify them of his plan and they they should hunt them down, it was with this order that he hunted them down and their truck was burnt into ashes with the drug in it. They were eventually arrested and interrogated, but at the end, Shane pretended to be a good man when he has seen some signs as to what he was looking for. He promised to help the girls by giving them drugs, though, he told them there's no antibiotics, but he gave them a box and told them, if possible they can get something that can be of help from the box, not that alone, he also helped them.with his truck, but no sooner the ladies left, he asked one of his men to follow them and warned him not to lose sight of the girls. That one was monitoring them.
As they left the place and went further a little bit,, they ladies stopped and went to a hill, querying themselves as to losing everything, but thank God to the smart nature of the younger sister Naomi, whohas got one of the drugs without her sister getting to know., so, they both rushed home and administered the drug on both their mother and Egon and it was in the process of their mother recovering that, the mother asked them about their journey and they both narrated everything to her, when the mother heard about Shane, she told them there's problem and that they were in danger, she said, they must not spend the night there, so, both ladies went out ,but the younger one returned when her sister told her to give her sometime, it was at her return that one of Shane's men came him and shot Egon and held both Sarah and Naomi hostage, but the sound of the gun alerted Greta where she was and she came into the house seeing Egon in his pool of his own blood., it was this that triggered her to go out of her way to rescue her mother and sister from Shane who was held bent on killing the mother and the daughter. Greta was able to do this by holding another member of Shane's group hostage whom later led her to where her mom and sister were, in their conversations with Shane, shane told Sarah that her nice kind were not needed to save the world, that his wicked kind were what the world needed for it safety. So, at the end, Greta got Shane killed and some of his men were also killed and the mother and his two daughters went to bury the dead body of Egon and when asked by the daughters, if Shane's men were still coming, the mother responded and said, even if they come, this is our home and we will defend it, Naomi, asked her mom to teach her how to shoot like her sister and her mother directed her to her sister who promised to teach her only if she would listen to her instructions in which she agreed by saying yes.
THE VERDICTS
*All the actors acted their role to the best of their knowledge. In fact, they acted best
*there's issues of betrayal right from the outset of the movie as can be seen with Shane, who accused his fellow men of betraying him
*wickedness is another thing shown to us in the movie, though, we didn't really know the wickedness committed by shane for his banishment and this is one of the lapses of the movie, but that aside, we could see other wickedness carried out by him in the movie. The killing of James is one, and they attempted killing of the two ladies and later the killing of Egon and attempted killing of the whole family are all acts of wickedness.
*there's series of murder in the movie as well.
*keeping to promise is anothing verdict of the movie as this can be seen in Sarah taking care of the two daughters of hers and James as promised .
*Love is another thing being seen in the movie, the kind of love shown by the mother to her daughters, the father to his daughters and vice versa, what of the one to Egon as well.
- Smartness and confidence are other take home from the movie
- The confidentiality of the Doc is another lesson from the movie, even at the point of death, she was resolute not to divulge the secret.
*Taking revenge is another point being made in the movie and this can be seen when shane was hellbent on kill everybody that sentenced him to banishment.
In all, the movie is one of it kind. Though it has its lapses but I personally will rate it 8/10. It's full of tragic scenes, but that doesn't take away it quality.
