One Scary Night, The Heavy Rain, and Our Lunch Featuring Sautéed Mixed Veggies with Scrambled Egg

in Hive PH10 days ago

The oldies didn't get much sleep the other night because of the nonstop rain. Mommy D is so anxious she decided to put important documents and her things in her emergency bag. She also take care of her stuffs on the lower ground. I actually woke up with too much noise the oldies making. I didn't really do much that time because I believe that the flood won't reach our house. I am also praying for the rain to stop.

That night, I also checked the river near our house to also make sure that there's nothing to worry but seriously, the water rising. I wake up mama because her house is on much lower ground and when she check the backyard she said that the water is already more than half on the stone wall. And that's really enough reason to panic. But we noticed that the change of the water level is kinda slow so we thought it won't overflow.

And thank God it really didn't. I went back to sleep despite the nonstop rain, same with the oldies and Mama. The rain slow down a little and we sigh in relief coz of that. Then in the morning, when I check, the water subsided a little but we can't really be too complacent because it's still raining. We even go to the market to buy food for our lunch, even though its raining too hard. Lol

And mama really decided to buy something else instead of going to the market without making a detour (≧▽≦). But then she said she need a battery for her solar light or something. We couldn't find anything on the other shop, yep, we stop by to three different shop first before we get here. And the rain is still too heavy. Good thing I am wearing a jacket. Our umbrella is too small my shoulder's already wet because of the rain.

Our next stop was here, Mama had to buy rice for her pets. By this time the rain become more intense accompanied by strong wind.

And despite this bad weather, the public market is still in operation and every shop is still open. Each stalls in the market where the veggies and fruits are available are also open. That's a good thing for us or those people who needs to buy everyday ingredients for each meal.

After getting all what we need, we headed home faster because seriously, it's cooooldddd! And this is what I bought, one healthy and unhealthy kind of food, haha.

This is what I did to the mixed veggies, I mix egg in it. I just sauteed it and had it a little soup in it. It taste okay and actually I eat more of this then just small servings of rice. I'm bot sure though if this recipe exist somewhere, maybe, everything's possible with food yeah? But what do I call this?

As for the chicken balls, I just fry it using small oil. I love how I cook it, a little toasty, hehe. We enjoy our lunch yesterday with this simple meal \(^o^)/.

And today, the river near our house is in normal water level again. We're just grateful of how fast the water subsided here. Though it'a not raining anymore, the weather is still a bit gloomy and it's kinda windy too. This kind of weather is making me sleepy though, but I don't really want to take a nap so I just rewatch my favorite anime: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. \(^o^)/

Heavy rain and flood can be very scaring and dangerous. I wish and pray that you and your family will be always save there and that your houses won't be affected!

So glad everyone is safe and okay! That sounds like a terrifying experience, but the story ended on a heartwarming note. A perfect example of finding joy in everyday even after a stressful experience❤️

Seriously, we get over the night and now everything's fine again ✨. How's the weather in your place by the way?

Im happy that everyone is safe. Filipinos and our places are now in danger zones, and if not, a risky one, so we need to be extra careful and observant. I commend you observing the outside of your house and using your intuition if it is still safe or not. Be safe always

Yep, we have to be alert and check everything if we want to ease our worried heart ✨. Hope everything is fine in your place too.

Thanks God all are safe, it feel so scared but one thing to do is to pray.

Thats the only powerful weapon that we have ✨💃

Buti na Lang Hindi Ng over flow ang tubig. Yung ibang lugar grabe ang baha. Katakot,😐🙁

Naku, buti nalang talaga.

A nerve wracking night! Good thing it didn’t overflow and glad to hear the river’s back to normal and things are settling down. Keep safe!❤️

Glad that the water subsided. It's really terrifying when this kind of situation happens and if the rain doesn't stopped. Here in our place, some of our neighbors experienced flood but luckily, they evacuated.
