It's interesting how the cake comes to life in a different way when viewed in black and white, as you present it to us... Against the snow-covered backdrop, simply magical!

        i have an old cookbook from 1954 where they also used black and white photography to show the dishes from some recipies. Always nice to look back on how things started.
