Harvesting Cocoa Fruit in the Morning // An amazing and Profitable Farming Activity

in Homesteading12 days ago

Good afternoon to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

As usual waking up early has become my daily routine where I can do many things in the morning and it is very beneficial for myself, after waking up I immediately tidy up all the equipment in my room And after all I started going to the bathroom to take a shower first so that my body feels fresh to do my activities. after doing all my homework I started going out to the yard and saw my grandfather repairing a broken hut I immediately approached him, we chatted for a while and in the end my grandfather told me to immediately harvest the cocoa fruit in the backyard and in the garden next to the house, hearing my grandfather's order I immediately agreed because the price of cocoa fruit is currently very expensive.

Because in my area it is currently the rainy season so the plantation is also very muddy and of course very slippery so I really have to prepare complete equipment to make it easier for me to harvest cocoa fruit, and when I went to the backyard to get an egrek as a tool to help me harvest cocoa fruit, and when I arrived at the backyard I saw my uncle feeding his goats.

But at that time I didn't approach him because my goal at that time was only to take the wooden egrek, and after taking the wooden egrek I immediately put on shoes so that I could walk easily on the slippery ground, after all my equipment was ready I immediately headed to the back garden of the house first.

The soil on my plantation looked very muddy and of course very slippery, which made me have to really prepare myself to be able to harvest the cocoa fruit properly, but because at that time I was already wearing jungle boots so I could do it easily, and when I arrived under the cocoa tree without waiting long I immediately harvested it.

The function of this wooden egrek is as a tool to help me reach cocoa fruit on high branches, so I don't need to climb the cocoa tree to pick the fruit, that way I can use this agrek to pick cocoa fruit, of course this is very beneficial for me where it can make my work easier in harvesting.

However, if the cocoa fruit is on a low branch, I just pick it, because in my own garden there are several large cocoa trees and there are also small cocoa trees.

And after harvesting several trees, I had already obtained quite a lot of results, and I put the cocoa fruit that I had picked into a bucket, which functioned as a place for me to put the cocoa fruit so that it would be easier for me to carry it wherever I went.

And these are the interim results I got.

and when the bucket is full, I immediately take it home and put my harvest beside the house, and when the bucket is empty, I go back to the garden to harvest the cocoa fruit again. That's what I do to make it easier for me to harvest this time.

After several weeks of caring for the cocoa fruit in the garden, now the fruit is no longer disturbed by pests, so I can get satisfactory results.

I harvested the cocoa fruit with great enthusiasm, especially considering the price is currently very expensive, where I did this harvest without realizing that I had already harvested two full buckets.

As I have done before, when the bucket is full, I immediately take it home and put it next to the house. Apart from that, the reason I put the cocoa fruit next to the house is also to make it easier for my grandfather when he wants to split the fruit so he doesn't have to bother going to the garden anymore.

I felt very satisfied because I had harvested all the cocoa fruit in my backyard, but it was not finished yet because I had to harvest the cocoa fruit in the garden next door too. And without further ado, I started walking towards the garden next door.

While on my way to the garden next to the house, I saw my grandfather bringing his pet goats to be released into the garden. This was done so that the goats could find their own food on the plantation, and this is an activity that has been carried out for generations in my family, where everyone in my family must have pets such as goats or cows.

Although grandfather is no longer young, he still carries out his activities on the plantation as usual. However, age cannot lie, where grandfather does every activity to the best of his ability.

And after that I immediately walked back to the garden, and when I arrived at the plantation next to my house, I immediately did my activity again, namely harvesting cocoa fruit.

Because there are not many cocoa trees in the garden next to my house anymore, so I only got 1 full bucket, but even so I am very satisfied with the results I got today

And after everything was done, I immediately walked home while carrying a bucket full of cocoa fruit that I had successfully harvested. However, on the way home I also found a lime tree with very dense fruit, seeing the abundance of limes I took the time to pick some of the fruit so that I could take the limes home and use them as cooking ingredients.

And when I arrived at my house, I saw my grandfather was splitting cocoa fruit, my grandfather was doing the activity that I should have been doing, but my grandfather didn't have a problem with it because he didn't mind and enjoyed doing it.

And when my grandfather was splitting the cocoa fruit, I immediately approached him and sat beside him to chat for a while, and it turned out that the seeds of the cocoa fruit that I had harvested had good and healthy seeds, of course this made me very happy and excited, because a few months ago the cocoa fruit in my garden had rotten seeds, but after going through a series of treatments, my cocoa fruit was finally healthy again.

Because I had finished my activity of harvesting cocoa fruit, I immediately headed to the hut in front of the house to rest for a while, but before I had time to rest, I saw the rambutan fruit beside my house already looked ripe, so I immediately took the egrek again to pick some rambutan fruit first.

And after picking some rambutans, I immediately took them to the hut, and I immediately ate the rambutans while resting.

These are some pictures that show my activities this morning, namely harvesting cocoa fruit in the backyard and in the garden next to the house, and with a little story from me in this post, I really hope this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends.

Wow, it's good to see that your cocoa fruit is bearing so much fruits. I like to keep animals like goats too but I do not have the space yet.

Hopefully you will soon have land and make the best use of it. Thank you very much for your support and kind comments. Have a nice day.
