History: Below the surface of the Splinterlands lies the Deep: a vast, subterranean network of interconnected tunnels and caverns.
All manner of species and races inhabit the Deep, most monstrous, malevolent, or—more likely—both.
Beneath the towering peaks of the Daigenloft Mountains sprawls the section of the Deep known as the Daigendark. It is here that a formidable colony of deep gnomes have staked their claim.
Their surveyors measure and map the surrounding caverns, elevations, and other features, always in search of rare ore and other minerals, sustainable food sources, and defensible habitable areas to claim as their own.
The deep gnomes of the Daigendark have formed an uneasy alliance with their arboreal shadite neighbors, and together, they defend their domain against any foolish enough to wander into it.
