Anyone, in their naiveté, expects that on their path to success they will only encounter one big problem to solve. You solve that, and you move on. However, it's never that simple.
Life isn't a story with a single conflict. It's an endless series. As a writer, you think the only challenge is finishing the manuscript. Then comes the editing, then the search for an agent, then the rejection from publishers, then the promotion, then the criticism.
Life continues to present new challenges every day. There's no finish line after which the path is smooth.
That's why, with every fall, every failure, even if they are many and consecutive, you can never allow yourself to stay down. A book rejected ten times isn't a sign to stop; it's a sign to improve the proposal or look for another approach.
The only real option you have is to get up and continue on your path. There will always be new problems to solve, no matter which path you take.
Choosing a different path doesn't free you from obstacles; it only changes their nature.
It's true that every fall offers a lesson that teaches you to get up faster and stronger. Rejection toughens your skin.
A research mistake makes you more meticulous. But it doesn't make you invincible. Until the very last moment, there will always be something that can knock you down, with greater or lesser force. Today's success doesn't immunize you against tomorrow's failure.
That's precisely why everyone must get up after every fall and keep moving forward. It won't be the first or the last time it happens.
It's not pessimism, it's realism.
Nor will it be the first or the last time we get up and walk again.
Life always presents new challenges in the future. Preparation isn't about waiting for a world without setbacks, but about strengthening your legs for the next stumble and sharpening your mind for the next challenge.
Resilience isn't a gift; it's a decision you make again and again, each time you decide to get back up and take the next step, knowing that the ground might give way beneath your feet once more.
Life will always put walls in your path. You may crash into some of them and fall. Get back up. Your job will be to tear them down one by one and keep moving forward.

El mundo del profesional, de la persona trabajadora, no es fácil. Siempre hablamos de prepararnos y superarnos para vencer las dificultades.
Hablamos de aprender de los errores y rectificarlos. Pero pocos se percatan de que en todo momento hablamos en plural. Y a esta multiplicidad de caídas, de muros que detienen tu avance, es a lo que no estamos siempre preparados: pero tenemos que estarlo.
Cualquiera, en su ingenuidad, espera que en su camino al éxito solo se encuentre con un gran problema que solucionar. Resuelves eso, y sigues. Sin embargo, eso nunca es así.
La vida no es una historia con un solo conflicto. Es una serie interminable. Como escritor, piensas que el único desafío es terminar el manuscrito. Luego viene la corrección, luego la búsqueda de agente, luego el rechazo de editoriales, luego la promoción, luego la crítica.
Siempre la vida continúa poniendo nuevos desafíos cada día. No hay una meta tras la cual el camino sea llano.
Por eso, ante cada caída, cada fracaso, aunque sean muchos y seguidos, nunca puedes permitirte quedarte en el suelo. Un libro rechazado diez veces no es una señal para parar, es una señal para mejorar la propuesta o buscar otro enfoque.
La única opción real que tienes es la de levantarte y reanudar el camino. Siempre habrán nuevos problemas que solucionar, tomes el camino que tomes.
Elegir otro sendero no te libra de los obstáculos; solo cambia su naturaleza.
Es cierto que en cada caída hay un aprendizaje que te enseña a levantarte más rápido y más fuerte. Un rechazo te endurece la piel.
Un error de investigación te hace más meticuloso. Pero no te hace invencible. Hasta el último momento, siempre habrá algo que te pueda lanzar al suelo, con mayor o menor fuerza. Un éxito de hoy no te inmuniza contra el fracaso de mañana.
Es por eso, exactamente por eso, que cada quien debe levantarse tras cada caída, y seguir avanzando. No será ni la primera ni la última vez que suceda.
No es pesimismo, es realismo.
Tampoco será la primera ni la última vez que nos levantemos y volvamos a caminar.
La vida siempre pone nuevos desafíos en el futuro. La preparación no consiste en esperar un mundo sin tropiezos, sino en fortalecer las piernas para el siguiente traspiés y en afilar la mente para el próximo problema.
La resiliencia no es un don, es una decisión que se toma una y otra vez, cada vez que decides ponerte de pie y dar el siguiente paso, sabiendo que el suelo puede volver a ceder bajo tus pies.
La vida pondrá siempre muros en tu camino. Podrás chocar con algunos ellos y caer. Vuelve a levantarte. Tu trabajo será el de derrumbarlos uno por uno y seguir avanzando.
