On a broad, distinctly veined green leaf, I found a moth resting. At first, I didn't realize it was a moth. I thought it was a dry leaf clinging to the surface of the green leaf. I noticed it when another moth flew away. Before this moth could fly away, I immediately approached, taking advantage of its stillness.
If we weren't up close and observing it closely, we wouldn't realize it was a living creature. Moreover, its two fully spread wings were stuck to the leaf it was perched on. This further confirmed that it resembled a dry leaf stuck to the surface of a green leaf.
The moth's coloration also perfectly complemented this moth's role in the dry leaf. The base color of this moth is cream, adorned with a unique pattern of light brown streaks forming fine, wavy lines. The lines of the pattern were soft, not conspicuous. When I looked closely, the pattern appeared to resemble thin shadows that traced the shape of its wings. Simple yet captivating, it was impossible to look away.
