Rice with chicken broth (Eng/Esp)

in Hive Food3 months ago

English version

In the kitchen, you have to make the most of all your resources. In this case, I had some chicken soup left over from the day before, so I decided to use that hearty broth to make some flavored rice. This is a great, practical option for a quick and tasty meal, since most of the work has already been done.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of rice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

Procedure:

The first thing I did was strain the soup to obtain only the broth, then I added water to make up three cups, adjusted the salt, and checked that the liquid had a light consistency. I set up a paella pan and poured the broth into it and heated it.

Next, I measured out one cup of rice and, once the broth came to a boil, added it to the pan and let it simmer for 10 minutes. I then added a tablespoon of oil to give it a nice texture.

In no time, the rice was perfectly cooked and had an incredible flavor of natural chicken broth. This is a healthy way to eat, and the color also changed from white to yellow without the need for coloring or chemical additives. This flavored rice is an ideal accompaniment to other recipes, but it was so tasty that I started eating it right away.
