Today I am joining the celebration of Hive's fifth anniversary and to do so I am going to answer the following question: What is your favorite project?
I knew the Cryptoadoption Project since its origins, I still remember this first Meetup at the Traki Shopping Center in Cumaná. I was just a month old when I joined the Hive Sucre Telegram group and therefore I considered it the perfect occasion to meet the representatives of this community in person. I found it amazing to see so many local hivers and guests from various latitudes at this event. This in-person meeting was the perfect scenario for networking, amidst presentations on Hive, Web3, cryptocurrencies and blockchain, among other interesting topics.
In that first approach the idea of the project materialized, it was something very innovative for everyone involved because there was no history of businesses that accepted cryptocurrencies, including very little information about this financial alternative, beyond Bitcoin. At that time only one local merchant accepted HBD as a form of payment. In a digitalized world, this represents a great change, as it constitutes another business model where people and companies interact with digital assets in a different way than the traditional exchange of physical money or mediation of a bank.
The summit looked very high from below, but a multidisciplinary team was ready to take on the challenge and the task of leading the way to guide others. This group also had a community that supported them and has been there every step of the way. Perhaps the most difficult part of this stage was to generate confidence in the HBD cryptocurrency, but what seemed far away was achieved, a turn was made to conventional transactions, managing to establish B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) operations.
This being so, crypto-adoption has represented an innovation, since it has broken with the way of making transfers, no longer requiring a bank or an intermediary, nor paying high commissions or using verification systems such as KYC. Thanks to the Hive Keychain application, there is a digital wallet that allows users to manage their funds immediately from anywhere in the world. Here we can see that the concept of financial freedom is intrinsic to this mechanism, together with the circular economy and decentralization.
The financial revolution is in our hands, cryptocurrencies have gained a lot of ground in this technological era, it only remained to meddle and contribute to the dissemination of this great project. Undoubtedly, Hive is a wonderful platform because it is made up of a community in constant movement that, in addition, invests and gets involved in its development. Now we can buy food in local stores, purchase goods or objects of various kinds or spend a pleasant time in a playground or entertainment center. It is noteworthy that later applications such as V4V and Distriator were born, the latter has represented a boom in the blockchain and has revolutionized the Web3. Obtaining refunds for using HBD seemed like a utopia, today it is possible thanks to this excellent tool. Conocí el Proyecto de Criptoadopción desde sus orígenes, aún recuerdo este primer Meetup en el Centro Comercial Traki de Cumaná. Apenas tenía un mes que me uní al grupo de Telegram de Hive Sucre y por ello consideré que era la ocasión perfecta para conocer a los representantes de esta comunidad en persona. Me pareció increíble observar en este evento a tantos hivers locales e invitados de varias latitudes. Este encuentro presencial fue el escenario perfecto para hacer networking, en medio de ponencias sobre Hive, Web3, criptomonedas y blockchain, entre otros interesantes temas.
En ese primer acercamiento se materializó la idea del proyecto, era algo muy innovador para todos los involucrados porque no había antecedentes de comercios que aceptaban criptomonedas, inclusive había muy poca información sobre esta alternativa financiera, más allá del Bitcoin. Para entonces un solo comercio local aceptaba HBD como forma de pago. En un mundo digitalizado esto representa un gran cambio, pues constituye otro modelo de negocio en donde las personas y las empresas interactúan con los activos digitales de una manera distinta al tradicional intercambio de dinero físico o mediación de un banco.
La cima se miraba muy alta desde abajo, pero un equipo multidisciplinario estaba dispuesto a asumir el reto y la labor de abrir el camino para guiar a los demás. Este grupo, además, contaba con una comunidad que los respaldaba y ha permanecido allí en todo momento. Quizás la parte más difícil de esta etapa fue generar la confianza en la criptomoneda HBD, pero lo que parecía lejano logró concretarse, se dio un giro a las transacciones convencionales, logrando establecer operaciones B2B (negocio a negocio) y B2C (negocio a consumidor).
Siendo así, la criptoadopción ha representado una innovación, pues irrumpe en la forma de hacer transferencias, ya no se necesitan de un banco ni de un Intermediario, tampoco se pagan elevadas comisiones ni se utilizan sistemas de verificación como KYC. Gracias a la aplicación Hive Keychain, existe una billetera digital que permite a los usuarios gestionar sus fondos de manera inmediata desde cualquier parte del mundo. Acá se puede advertir que el concepto de libertad financiera se haya intrínseco en este mecanismo, unido a la economía circular y a la descentralización.
La revolución financiera está en nuestras manos, las criptomonedas han ganado mucho terreno en esta era tecnológica, solo restaba inmiscuirse y contribuir a la difusión de este gran proyecto. Por otra parte, el trabajo que se ha realizado en Nigeria también luce impresionante, los guías locales han logrado en tres meses que más de 50 negocios acepten HBD, reeditando la fórmula aplicada en Hive Sucre.
Sin duda, Hive es una plataforma maravilloso porque está conformada por una comunidad en constante movimiento que, además, invierte y se involucra en su desarrollo. Ahora podemos comprar alimentos en tiendas locales, adquirir bienes u objetos de diversa índole o pasar un rato ameno en algún parque infantil o centro de entretenimiento. Es de resaltar que posteriormente nacieron aplicaciones como V4V y Distriator, esta última ha representado un boom en la blockchain y ha revolucionado la Web3.
