Starter Pack and The New Pack Format
On all of the previous Splinterlands Pack, we only knew about the packs of each set series. There is no different kind of 1 series pack, and the only way to get higher chance for the legendary and gold foil is through the potions.
But on the Conclave Arcana, the team has the innovation to make the unpack is become more interesting. They split the pack of Conclave Arcana into 4 different kind of pack :
1.STARTER PACK
Started Pack has no limit of supply and cost 1,000 DEC. This packs are contains 5 Common or Rare cards, with 1 card is at least guaranteed to be Rare. Gold and Black Foil cards cannot be found in Starter Packs.
2.STANDARD PACK
Available 4,243,944 pack left (reduced by almost 100k since last week) and cost 4,000 DEC each. This standard packs are contains 5 cards, with 1 guaranteed to be rare or better! (Just like the normal packs from previous edition). The difference is that on this pack, you can get epic and legendary cards, plus the chance for the gold foil and the jackpot blackfoil !
3.ALCHEMY PACK
Available 848,187 pack left (reduced by almost 20k since last week) and cost 12,000 DEC each. This alchemy packs are contains 5 cards, with 1 guaranteed to be rare or better (this is normal), but additionally 1 card is guaranteed to be Gold Foil. Good packs for those who plays with gold foil cards.
4.LEGENDARY PACK
Available 424,470 pack left (reduced by almost 10k since last week) and cost 24,000 DEC each. Contains 5 cards, with 1 guaranteed to be Legendary. A perfect packs for those in love with legendary cards of Conclave Arcana !
With all those packs categories, I personally feels that as players, we are given chance to get what we want with cheaper price (like the starter one), or more precise and having higher chance (like the alchemy and legendary). Bravo for the team that create this pack system !
My Preferred Pack and 5 Unpack Result
Last week, I try my luck on the standar pack and get no special cards, then I realize that I can get the summoners from the starter pack as well. Even that it will never be the gold foil or black foil, I think it's fair with the price of the packs that are much lower than the standard pack. I focus on summoners because since Chaos Legions are out of the modern league, I feel that the summoner rental price has become so expensive. This is because Chaos Legion offer a lot of supply, while the current Conclave Arcana and the Rebellion has less. The rewards summoners also out of the modern league which makes it worst. While we still can fill the monsters with the reward cards, we don't have rewards summoner anymore, and that's why I am desperate for getting my own Summoner.
Starter pack is my choice to give me more summoner chance. I don't really care about gold foil or black foil anymore because the chances are very small 😂
5 packs for 5000 DEC.
Now, it's time for open them from the well.
My first pack contains 2 rare which is good, but it turn out the second rare is a monster instead of summoners/ archon
2nd pack give me normal 4c+1r and luckily the rare is a summoners/ archon
For the 3rd until the latest pack, I don't find any summoners/ archon and only get 3 rare cards. Not so good, but I think the rare monster is not bad either.
What's Next ?
Based on the peakmonsters, with 5k DEC which worth around $5, my unpack give me higher value, which is good if I want to flip and doing more unpack. But since I'm still lack of Conclave Arcana edition cards, I will decide to keep them, and try to doing some unpack again. Hopefully, I can level up some summoners and compete on the rank battle again !
