Bloodlust is a unique ability which owned by the gladiator cards which could raise their stats by 1 points after each elimination of the enemies. This could make gladiator monsters become unstopable with too high speed, damage, and even armor ! But, bloodlust only triggered once they eliminate an enemy, and if you can stop them from doing that, they are not that dangerous anymore.

Anticipating Them By Focus on Ruleset

Ruleset can changed the whole battle completely cause some of the ruleset can change the way of monsters to attack.

Super sneak is the example, this ruleset could change all monsters into sneaker which attack the very last monsters on the back. Even those who have the opportunity would change their way to attack into sneak ! With understanding the ruleset, we could anticipate any incoming attack including those gladiator monsters if there is any of them is appeared !

Ruleset :

For this battle ruleset, there is super sneak, no armor, and true hit ruleset. So basically all damage will safely landed cause no one gonna miss their attack despite different speed or evading ability, and there is no armor to protect anyone. There is only 17 mana cap which is quite low and so there is higher chance for low mana monsters to come up

And here is the formation of both team !

My enemy is looking for the low mana cap that often offers low mana monsters on the field, and he use fina foxon to wipe them out. He also have 3 more melee monsters plus 1 range monsters with 4 damage. On the other side, I try to cover my team with cursed windeku that is having high health points plus the thorn and regen ablity to survive longer. I also have some melee monsters to help attacking and a range monster with 4 damage and poison ability as main damager as well.

How the Battle Goes

Thanks for speed different, most of my team is taking first turn to attack and managed to eliminate 3 monsters of enemies backline. Meanwhile, my enemy also land damage but no one is eliminated, including the attack from fina foxon which should have attack the weakest monsters and eliminate one of them but is change dirrection into sneak on my latest monsters on the back and cause her to take the thorn damage on her as well.

It won't take too long for my team to wipe out my enemies line up, and the battle end on 2nd round with my team still survive all monsters. Could be a perfect victory if we are playing the survival mode this way cause no one is getting eliminated and force to stop playing with those high cooldown 😂

Conclussion

Gladiators can be scary with their bloodlust ability that give them possibility to grow stronger on each eliminating, but on certain ruleset, their attack can be readable and then you can anticipate them with right counter and prevent them for growing into even more dangerous monsters. With right strategy, they are not that dangerous and you can still win the game easily.
