Conclave Arcana is officially unveiled—bringing with it a wave of innovation and arcane power. Launching with 82 new cards across Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities, the set expands even further with nine additional airdrop cards, including three Legendary units and six player-designed Legendary archons. On top of that, a rare and a legendary promo card will be available exclusively during the presale.
This set introduces a host of groundbreaking features: brand-new abilities, a fresh archon bloodline mechanic, innovative pack types, and—for the first time in the game's history—new card foils.
Nine new abilities shake up the meta with mechanics like Resurgence, Painforge, and Bloodline Dominion, creating strategic depth and redefining how players approach each battle. Whether enhancing allies through defeat or piercing through defensive abilities with true damage, these powers promise dynamic, unpredictable gameplay.
A major thematic shift also arrives as summoner cards are rebranded as archons. In this updated lore, players themselves are the summoners, channeling the strength of archons to call forth units in combat. These archons now embody elemental and bloodline strategies, opening the door to unprecedented deck combinations.
Thanks to abilities like Bloodline Dominion, they can summon any unit sharing their bloodline, regardless of element, offering unmatched flexibility and synergy.
Conclave Arcana arrives with a fresh lineup of pack types, giving players more ways to access cards and build their collections. For newcomers and returning players, Starter Packs offer an affordable entry point at just 1,000 DEC or $1 in Credits.
Each Starter Pack contains five cards—one guaranteed Rare and four more with high odds of being Common. These packs are limited to Regular Foil Common and Rare cards and are not compatible with potions. As a bonus, every $10 Spellbook purchase includes five Starter Packs, with proceeds supporting the DAO.
Standard Packs, priced at 4,000 DEC or $4 in Credits, deliver a traditional Splinterlands experience with five cards per pack and familiar odds for each rarity. Potions can enhance drop chances, making these packs ideal for seasoned players looking to chase higher-tier cards or Gold Foils.
Alongside these new packs, Conclave Arcana introduces groundbreaking foil variations. Three new foil types debut: Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil, and Black Foil Arcane, each featuring distinct frames, animations, and collectible mint numbers.
Black Foils are particularly rare and come max-leveled with significant bonuses—they can't be combined but can replace Gold Foils in tournaments and brawls. These foils offer a 20% bonus in ranked rewards, reduced cooldowns in Survival Mode, increased DEC burn value, and enhanced contributions in Conflicts.
With its diverse pack options and striking new foils, Conclave Arcana promises not just strategic depth, but also a rich collecting experience that rewards dedication and luck in equal measure.
The presale kicks off on April 22nd and runs through May 11th, offering an exclusive opportunity to secure powerful cards and rare rewards ahead of the full set’s launch.
During this window, players can purchase Standard, Alchemy, and Legendary packs—500,000 Standard packs at 4,000 DEC or Credits each, 100,000 Alchemy packs at 12,000 DEC or Credits, and 50,000 Legendary packs at 24,000 DEC or Credits. Starter packs will not be available during this phase.
Though packs can’t be opened until the general sale begins, they can still be traded and transferred throughout the presale. Only 10% of the total supply of each pack type is allocated for presale, and any unsold packs will be permanently burned, adding scarcity and long-term value.
Presale participation also comes with major perks: players will receive exclusive promo-card airdrops—one Rare and one Legendary—compete on the Presale Leaderboard for top-tier prizes, and gain entries into a Presale Raffle for a chance to win ultra-rare cards.
All Conclave Arcana packs will become available for opening on May 13th, coinciding with the start of the general sale. At launch, 4.5 million Standard packs, 900,000 Alchemy packs, and 450,000 Legendary packs will be released.
To maintain a healthy supply and ensure the set remains dynamic, a daily burn mechanism will be implemented. If fewer than 15,000 Standard packs, 3,000 Alchemy packs, or 1,500 Legendary packs are sold on any given day, 90% of that day’s remaining inventory for each pack type will be permanently burned.
The remaining 10% will be transferred to the sps.dao account for future use under DAO governance. This system guarantees that all packs will either be sold or burned within 300 days of the general sale’s launch.
Additionally, nine more cards will be added to the Conclave Arcana set over time through the Conflicts system, which was first introduced in the Rebellion set. Among these additions are six player-designed Legendary archon cards, further enriching the set with community creativity and evolving gameplay.
Sounds like a new legacy is forged in the Splinterlands, and I need to pump hard during the last few seasons before the update. Need to collect DEC, win battles, and hope for some money to magically drop into my wallet! So far I am doing decent, heading towards Silver I Tier!
