Forgiveness Unlocks Blessing

in Hive Learners7 days ago

Greetings, everyone!

To start with, looking at it scripturally, all of us in this world don't deserve to live or be forgiven, but someone, worthy, holy, paid the ransom for us to be saved. He forgave us by sending His son, Jesus Christ to come and die on the cross for us, so we can have access. The Bible says, He loved us so much, that He gave His only begotten Son to come to stand in the gap.

We are who we are today because someone priceless paid the price we didn't deserve.

The Bible also says that we should forgive so that our Heavenly Father will also forgive us.

In this life, whether you like it or not someone will hurt you. Your closest friend can hurt you to the point where you never believed that he or she was a good friend. And if you carry that hurt in your heart for a long time, you are carrying a burden and war in your heart. There will be no peace, and your prayers will not be answered by God because He forgives all the time, so we ought to forgive, too.

I had a friend in my university days, who was very intelligent and calm. In my second year 2, we became very close friends. Along the line, something happened. I wasn't as outspoken as she was; she always had good grades, and she likes reading too. While I was just following her steps, reading together, and going out together.

I didn't know that this girl was planning evil against me. I started having a revelation. People would be told to be careful around my friends. In my mind, I was like, I don't have a boyfriend. I had female friends, not knowing that these girls were planning to hurt me.

This happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, after the lockdown was called off, I went back to school. Before we were staying together in the same hostel, in fact, squatting with her. I went back to school and got my bunk space, still in the same hostel. She came and called me and asked what the matter was. I sat her down and told her things. She pleaded. I told her I have forgiven her, but we can't be friends again.

Up till now, we are still chatting, talking about life after school and all that. To show that I have forgiven her totally. You might not get back to that friend, but you have to forgive, let your mind be free from the person, and let the thought of what happened be deleted.

Forgiveness, will bring peace of mind, deliverance, favour, and a breakthrough and open doors.

Why a lot of people don't receive answers from God, is because of unforgiveness. Forgiveness, does a lot for the body, soul, and spirit.

Unforgiveness blinds your spirit, soul, and everything related to your spirit.

Therefore, forgive so that, your blessings will be unlocked. Let it be your lifestyle and live it out.

I like how you took this to be spiritual aspect. If God can forgive us all, who are we not to forgive others too? You have done well by still talking about life with her but the boundary you set is important because forgiving someone sometimes means wishing them well from distance.

There's even no way we can go to God except we make peace. Forgiveness brings peace and sincerely you round it up well, the friendship may not be there anymore even if we forgive. It's to protect ourselves
