A Quick Stop at Bakso Gatok Stall, Kutablang

in CCH13 days ago

That afternoon, while traveling through the Kutablang area, I decided to stop for a quick stop. The hot sun was making my stomach pang, and my eyes were immediately drawn to a simple stall called Bakso Gatok, which they claimed was "The First in Kutablang/Awak."

From the outside, the stall looked unassuming, with a glass display case filled with ready-to-eat bowls and a large, bold red sign: GATOK. Inside, the atmosphere was typical of a meatball stall—long tables lined up, a hanging fan, and the savory aroma of beef broth immediately greeted my nose.

I ordered a portion of meatballs. The preparation felt homely—the pieces of meat appeared to be hand-cut with plastic-gloved hands, and the bones of boiled beef were visible in a large green bowl, indicating the broth was homemade, not instant.

Soon, a bowl of warm meatballs was served. The price? Only IDR 20,000, or the equivalent of about 5.43 HIVE. It's quite a bargain for the rich flavors and authentic local food stall atmosphere.

After eating, I took a moment to look around. On the wall, a large banner reading "Welcome to Bakso Gatok" gave a warm impression. Meanwhile, the rows of sachet drinks and the relaxed atmosphere of the stall reminded me of childhood memories.

I continued my journey, full and happy. Sometimes, a quick stop at a place like this can be the most memorable experience.
