Something New

Some people like finished products with all the garnish. Others want to see how their hotdogs are made. Even if there are beaks and eyes in there. If you fall into the latter camp, this blog might be for you.

But let me explain why it even exists.

I started writing The Chronicles of Gin on my other blog. That was fun but then I found out that having the book (even an earlier version that would be revised and polished for publishing) available online disqualified it from Kindle Unlimited. Plus, it's on a blockchain, it's not going anywhere.

So I decided to write the next book in the series, The Legend of Uggs, completely offline. Nothing posted anywhere. Can you guess what happened? It took forever, I regularly found myself tied up in plot holes I never resolved several chapters back and it all became clear. Serialized posting actually helps me to write.

In addition, I have been more active on Hive than literally any other form of social media in my life. Not exaggerating. For better or worse, this is what works for me.

I will be doing something different this time around though. All the stories are drafts, like Gin, but I'm only posting up to three quarters of any story over here. I might make some stuff available to subscribers on Substrat.io. I'll let you know (I'm mostly figuring this out as I go along).

Wish me luck 🍀!
