Hi DIYhub community, it's a pleasure to be here once again, this time I wanna share another macramé knotted bracelet I made for a friend. Since I've been able to learn the hack of making this type of bracelets so I'm improving in the speed, the styles and patterns and I am very happy that I get to add this to my list of skills. I wanted to make this bracelet so badly for a friend as a gift, because I also appreciate when someone thinks of me and gets me something no matter how little or small, I usually cherish it with all my heart. So I decided to also surprise someone with something I made with my hands.
Stay with me as I take you through the steps of my bracelet making
These are the list of things I used to make this lovely piece here;
- A pair of scissors
- Blue and white cord rope
- Transparent beads
- Lighter
- Measuring tape
Steps
I first measured the length of yarn I wanted and that will be long enough to fit the person's wrist. I cut them out for both white and blue. I duplicated the white rope since I needed three different ropes to create this.
I started knotting the yarn here, I usually tie the tip of the rope to guide me well as I'm still very much a beginner but that changed when I was making this one, I didn't need to tie the ends to start, so I guess I'm getting better at this, and that's a great feeling if you ask me.
As usual, I started by picking the middle yarn over the right yarn, thereby creating an opening where I passed the left yarn and then knotted it. I repeated this process for 5 times
After knotting evenly for five times, I started fixing the beads. I fixed the transparent beads in the right and left yarns and followed the same process of knotting, passing the middle yarn over the right yarn, then picking the right yarn and passing it over the left yarn, then tightened the knot by dragging both the right and left yarn opposite sides of each other
This is after properly fixing and knotting the first set of beads.
Then I continued knotting, I did this five times again, to have that even pattern
I continued the processes for three times, fitted in the beads three times before I further knotted the yarn till it was the exact measurement for the person's wrist
So when I got the measurement and everything was well fitted. I cut out the remaining yarn, burned the edges that were left over and that was how I finished this beautiful looking bracelet
And here is when it's tested and fitted on the wrist. This is quite lovely right? I think I will create more of this and in different design and styles, until then, thanks for visiting my page today and for checking my work out.
