RE: FAKE IT TO MAKE IT

in Hive Learners7 days ago

"Fake it to make it," is often misunderstood, at least as I remember its original strategy. It's more like imagining a desire into being. Ask yourself, "how would I behave, if I already had what I wanted?" This strategy goes back to the 1930s, or even earlier. It's not about impressing others, but moving your self into a space where you want to be. My examples are usually fitness. If you want to run marathons, yo don't go out and buy trophies that say you run marathons, you go out and run. You copy what marathons runners do, how they train, what they eat, (not hyped products), you celebrate the personal bests. With social media, IMHO consistency is key. If you imagine you have a large audience, you must deliver to that audience on a regular basis, so that they trust you. Apologies if this is too long. It was an interesting subject. Cheers.
