Lately, life has been a flurry of obligations—work and daily activities combining into exhausting cycle. By the end of the week, I felt all of it weighing down on me. My body was worn out, my head confused, and my vitality totally drained.
Not only a quick nap or a lazy day at home, but I knew I needed a break—a moment to re-connect with myself, to simply exist free from expectations. I made the decision to do what I really enjoy: spending the day by myself and savouring the small pleasures.
My usual destination for a reset has always been into nature but now I want to change it for a while, I need to eat food at the mall. There are so many stores to visit. So, without second thought, I grabbed my bag and set for on solitary me-time trip.
At the mall, I happened to pass by a bridal expo showcasing their newly released wedding gowns—and wow, I was absolutely captivated! The designs were so sophisticated and elegant, it was hard not to fall in love with every piece.
If I had the chance, I would've set up my camera and snapped a quick photo of myself while checking out some clothes—would’ve been a cute moment to capture! But hey, I still ended up getting something special: a new pair of shoes from CLN! I seriously love shopping there—the quality is amazing and the prices are super budget-friendly. It’s one of those little wins that just makes your day feel extra good! Shopping by yourself has some releasing power. Not rushing; not waiting for anyone; just moving at my own speed and savouring the present.
What really caught my attention was their wedding package, perfect for couples who are looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising style and quality. It’s the kind of setup that makes you daydream a little, even if you’re just passing by.
I calmed down the moment I walked into the mall. It seemed strangely consoling—the chilly air-conditioning, the background buzz of people speaking, and the soft music playing in many establishments.
After a time, hunger began to slink in. For long time, I had been looking at Tokyo Tokyo, yearning something new, something savoury. I have a particular place in my heart for Japanese food—the harmony of tastes, the simplicity yet richness in every morsel.
At last I agreed to sample their best-selling dish, 6-piece fried chicken karaage. That was, among the better decisions I have taken that day! Every mouthful of the chicken, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, loaded with umami taste. It made the dinner much more delicious when combined with rice and their distinctive sauce. That was just what I needed.
A bowl of ramen with chicken karaage combines rich, flavorful broth and tender noodles. Topped with green onions, a soft-boiled egg, and nori, it’s complemented by crispy, juicy karaage. The contrast of textures—silky noodles and crunchy chicken—creates a satisfying, indulgent meal full of umami and comfort
Sitting here eating by myself, I relaxed. While others would find dining alone to be lonely, for me it is powerful. It's my method of reminding myself that I don't need companionship to appreciate the things I love and of learning to take charge of my happiness. Being able to value your own presence and find contentment in isolation offers another sort of freedom.
My heart delighted and my tummy full, I carried on my mall journey visiting a few more stores before deciding to head home. My head cleared, my social batteries rebuilt, and my soul was lighter.
