There’s something about food that brings people together, and nothing does it better than pizza! This week, my officemates and I decided to treat ourselves to a much-needed pizza day.
It wasn’t an ordinary day at work—it was a day filled with laughter, fun, and, of course, delicious slices of pizza from Extremely Espresso. We agreed to get three different flavors to satisfy everyone’s cravings. After some discussion, we settled on Hawaiian Pizza, All Cheese Pizza, and a special half-and-half pizza—BBQ Chicken and Hawaiian.
It was the perfect mix of sweet, savory, cheesy, and smoky flavors that would surely please everyone’s taste buds. One of the most exciting choices for our Pizza Day was this half-and-half pizza—one side loaded with the classic sweetness of Hawaiian Pizza, and the other packed with the rich, smoky flavors of BBQ Chicken.
One of the highlights of our Pizza Day was the All Cheese Pizza from Extremely Espresso. Just look at that golden, crispy crust topped with perfectly melted cheese! The simplicity of this pizza made it a favorite among those who love classic flavors. Every bite was rich, cheesy, and satisfying—a true comfort food that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. It may look simple, but it definitely delivered in taste!
The BBQ Chicken side highlighted delicate chicken pieces coated in a thick, tangy barbecue sauce, topped with melted cheese and onions. This pizza was unique because of the contrast between the two flavors, which let everyone savor their preferences in one box. For those who couldn't decide on just one taste, it was the ideal option since, why choose when you could have both?

This was definitely a hit among the team! One of the funnier parts of the day was the way the pizzas were cut. At first, there were different cutting styles—some slices were in the traditional triangle cut, some were in squares, and others had a more unique ‘spider cut.’
After some debate, we all agreed to go with the spider cut, which made the slices look extra interesting and easy to grab. It added a fun twist to our pizza experience and made the whole event feel even more special. As we gathered around, the excitement was real.
She stood there, looking at the options with deep concentration, clearly struggling to choose. After much thought (and a few laughs from the team), she finally picked BBQ Chicken—her all-time favorite flavor! We all teased her about taking so long to decide when deep down, we knew she would end up choosing it anyway.
Seeing everyone laid back and satisfied, bonded over something as basic as pizza, was energizing. We even teased turning Pizza Day into a monthly ritual. Who doesn't enjoy a decent justification to indulge in cheesy, mouthwatering excellence? The mood the day produced was more important than the cuisine.
It served as a reminder that we should pause among our hectic routines to savor the small pleasures of life. It strengthened the notion that our time is shared with others as much as it is with activities and obligations in our employment.
By the time we finished, we were all satisfied, both in our stomachs and in our hearts. There was a collective agreement that this should definitely happen again.
As we went back to our desks, there was a renewed sense of energy and motivation—perhaps fueled by the extra carbs, but also by the positive vibes that lingered after our mini celebration.
A little but significant event reminding us all of the value of friendship and balance was Pizza Day at the office. It's excellent to step aside from the daily grind and just savor good meals among terrific company. With every office could use more pizza days, maybe this won't be the final time we do this!
