It's More or Less the Best Curation Compilation.jpg

The Minimalist community presents It's More or Less the Best, a curation compilation highlighting some outstanding blogs published over the past week.

These selected authors shared their personal stories and views on different aspects of their minimalist lifestyle, giving some insight into what the style of living involves.

This compilation is presented to help shine the spotlight on the selected posts, with the hope that you will take a look at them in case you missed any.

Outstanding Minimalist Blogs in no particular order.

Dust-Kissed but treasured

✨"Over the years, I’ve realised that I always want to put something on the beautiful words I hear, which get stuck with me. You know? Something to make it make sense. Anytime someone who means a lot to me professes heavy words that comfort me, I tend to put a physical signature on it by getting something to represent it. And although it started as an unconscious practice, it has eventually become a repeated pattern in my life." @abenad

Everything In Between And The Things They Left Behind

✨"Everyone grieves differently, but I was wondering if it still makes any sense religiously and personally to constantly visit the gravesite of a loved one, even sometimes after they passed. Maybe this is the way we let go of things gracefully." @macchiata

My model is myself

✨"For as long as I can remember, I have always loved books. As a child, I enjoyed my parents giving me storybooks and reading them or having them read to me in the evenings. While my sisters would get excited if they were given toys or clothes, I was very happy if they also gave me books:
Nancy is strange because she likes to read, the other children would say, and I felt good about being different." @nancybriti1

No Clutter, No Stress: My Space-Saving Secret

✨"One of the space hacks that has saved me is the use of cabinets/wardrobes. I'm a simple person with life being made easier for others. I hate to look for something and end up spending long minutes trying to find it. My aunt taught me something during my time living with her. She had everything neatly arranged in different cupboards, and I knew where each item was placed without having to think or start clearing out everything to know where exactly one container was kept. When I gained admission, I followed through with that habit, which has saved me from unnecessary stress." @princessbusayo

Gentle Whispers of Simplicity

✨"What made me happy during my reflection is that, before the fallout, he was mean to me all the time, but I never matched his energy. And the surprising part? I wasn’t bothered, and it wasn’t even hard for me to let him go because this time, I didn’t want to be involved in any drama. I just wanted to protect my peace at all costs." @abenad

This Land Rover is Not Temu Sponsored

✨"There's a dark side to consumerism that many of us are aware of, but choose to ignore because of convenience and comforting our desires for things, which is mostly fed by advertising that makes us believe these things will make us happy." @riverflows

Minimalist recharging tips

✨"A particular beach in my hometown, which is located on our street, entrance to the place requires fee. However, I often go there without paying a dime due to the privilege of being a resident on the street and being known by the owner of the beach. When I was at home, and even anytime I visit, I still go there to unwind free of charge. I only pay when I meet new faces at the gate or when the woman who owns the place is not visible from the gate stand." @kingsleyy

The energy that only family gives you

✨"We usually have special meals at home together and share at mealtime, which fills me with a lot of energy. We talk about everything and nothing at the same time, about our life projects and stuff, something I love because I always like to think about my future with the people I love with all my heart. I like to appreciate the little things in life, because maybe going out once in a while to have nice memories has weight, but most of the time we are at home, and it's those moments that we have to appreciate to the fullest. That's why any situation in my home is something special." @gabrieladifazio

Everything in its place and at its time

✨"Since I was a little girl, my mother and my grandmother, especially, taught me order. Everything had its place in the house and if I took something, I had to return it to the place where I had found it, and this rule also included toys, clothes and books. When you grow up with rules of cleanliness and discipline, it is easy that in adulthood, based on the fact that we are beings who learn by imitation and repetition, we try to maintain a certain harmony in the spaces that belong to us." @nancybriti1

Some additional tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible, we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by them. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs; they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way, and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places on the web.

🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
