Maybe More Edges Than Curves?

f

✨"On my quest to becoming a more mindful person, I realize that while I may not take everything my roommate said hook, line and sinker, I do have some things to work on. Like being more interactive, and perhaps not being too deep in my own shell. I do, however, believe that keeping to myself has saved me from a lot of drama and scandals that most people would find themselves in." @jhymi

From Sleep-Deprived to Sleeping Beauty || Mindful Rest

f

✨"I used to hear people joke about their “fried” sleep schedules, and I’d laugh along. It never occurred to me that, for some, it could be more than just a joke, until it happened to me. Back in my undergraduate days, sleep was the least important thing in our lives. There were way more pressing concerns, like keeping up with the endless chemical structures involved in cholesterol synthesis. Sleep was only allowed when our bodies were on the verge of shutting down." @whatmidesays

Passion and Peace: Navigating a peaceful existence

c

✨"I saw a pictorial expression of how it was when someone was about to start a business and when they were fully into it. Starting up would be so cool and refreshing. You get fewer worries in your mind since it is just the beginning. You will hope to have a good time running it in the long run. Only if wishes were horses then beggars would ride." @abdul-qudus

f

✨"The garden space is not big, but it's big enough that fencing the whole place would be costly. So, instead of fencing the entire area, I decided to protect the plants individually. I used a discarded mosquito net, pinned some sticks into the ground, and used the mosquito net to cover them. I fastened the net to the sticks with ropes. I did it in a way that keeps the plants spaced while preventing the chickens from gaining access." @kingsleyy

The Fast Lane Illusion.

d

✨"Having our meals together, watching movies, going shopping, and doing several things together helps make the bond stronger, plus these memories are what I can always reflect on in the future. I feel not just fulfilled but blessed for having been able to pause and create beautiful memories with my loved one." @george-dee

#Kiss 151: Like Jean Reno and his plant

d

✨"I had an aloe vera plant, which is used by many to “clean” spaces of bad energies. That plant, like the ones I have in my house, created a different, natural, beautiful space and required little care. But one day, a group of antisocials began to destroy the university where I worked and among the things I had to take out of my office was my aloe vera plant. I took my books and my bush, and put them in safety. " @nancybriti1

Mindfulness in the Little Things

d

✨"And mindfulness involves being aware of little things even as little as the food we eat. I remember when used to rush through my meals every time and parents would always tell me to take it easy. Soon I realized though that I was barely registering the taste of my food, I was eating as though it was a chore to to check off my list." @madilyn02

Better a few good friends than too many to hang out with

f

✨"Still, having a life where less is more I learned that in friendship it works the same way. I have always strived to be an approachable person and willing to help others when they need me, be it with acquaintances, friends or strangers, it's something I want to keep getting better at, but I have also learned that it doesn't mean I will call them all friends." @jemima1996

How I embraced a Simple, Sustainable Lifestyle: The lessons in my journey.

d

✨"I’ve learned that reusing isn’t just good for the environment, it’s good for organization and my wallet. It’s amazing how many times we buy something we already have simply because we couldn’t find it. With a little creativity, those old containers can bring order to our homes and prevent waste." @ginika

IT’S A LIFESTYLE

d

✨"One major way I apply minimalist to my relationship is by lowering my expectations. I have expectations, I talk to my friends and partner about it sometimes but I try not to make them feel too anxious just to impress me. I get hurt when they make some mistakes over and over but then, as long as they are willing to learn and do better, it’s all good." @hopestylist

Some additional tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible we recommend that authors try to use original photos taken by you. Photos count toward the possibility of your post being curated.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs, they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a long way and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

🔸 You do not need to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.
