Reflecting on simple education.

in Hive Learnerslast month

From my perspective, school is a place to learn, not a place to compete. Though school can be one of the man thing that triggers that spirit or zeal to do more or engage more.

It is quite important we get to understand how our lives operate and also our limits and trust me school is one of thr place we get to notice this difference. Some people love competition, like being the best, competing in sports, or doing other things. Honestly, for me it doesn’t seem that way, I just wanna live my life and be free from a lot of problems or troubles. It took me time to understand myself on this aspect because for some time, I was flowing with the pressure.

Life can be so easy when we get to understand ourselves and our limits, I often say this proverb. When i was in school, i was one of the dullest, back then, my parents even bribed to make me pass a particular level, but when i got to meet friend in my senior year 1, i was motivated, honestly befoe then i was this-very gently and simple boy that doesn’t like stress or trouble and just wanted to live a soft life.

Back then we were 3 that do compete for last position and trust me it wasn’t funny, i my general score is always within 52-60. If anyone scores below that then that is failure, in meant below 50, i was always caught up in that grade even though I push myself harder to work more on reading being more smart and intelligent about it it still ends up that way.

Personally i believe there shouldn’t be any competition in school and if there was it should be willingly. I don’t even see any reason why people do that. Special education is a major care we must always attend to and competition in special education should be a priority the main focus should be on how to improve the kids or children. I always try to aim my focus away from competition. I know this can really be a huge distraction to my focus and growth especially when I am trying to read because I know I am a slow reader and learner.

In conclusion, my main focus in special education is actually being a better smart person not focusing on competition. If I were a teacher I couldn't encourage this, although I have seen some grow on this to be better but this is literally not me. I believe in myself and focus on my future. Competition in special education should mot be a priority but a voluntary action in soecial education. It ca affect some kids like it affected me bavk tjen. I tried my best but still didnmot meet up. I dontlike being under pressure hur being simple.

This is my entry to Hivelearners weekly prompt, Week 207 episode 3.
