Espero se encuentren súper bien. En esta oportunidad quería compartir con ustedes una salida muy improvisada con mis amigos. La verdad es que estas vacaciones han sido las primeras en las que no he salido ni siquiera a hacer compras navideñas, pero es porque ahora tengo trabajo. Tenía mucho tiempo buscando uno que realmente me gustara y, luego de mucha manifestación, llegó a mí, sobre todo porque había tenido experiencias malísimas con trabajos anteriores. Esta también es la razón por la que no he publicado tanto; aún intento organizarme con esta nueva rutina, pero bueno, ese no es el tema de este post.

I hope you are all doing great. This time I wanted to share with you a very impromptu outing with my friends. The truth is that these holidays have been the first ones in which I haven't even gone Christmas shopping, but that's because I now have a job. I had been looking for a job that I really liked for a long time, and after a lot of manifestation, it came to me, especially because I had had terrible experiences with previous jobs. This is also the reason why I haven't posted as much; I'm still trying to get organized with this new routine, but anyway, that's not the topic of this post.
Si han leído otros posts sobre salidas con mis amigos, sabrán que casi todas terminan siendo medio improvisadas, pero esta superó a todas por mucho. Hace un tiempo, uno de mis amigos se unió a un equipo de voleibol y comentó que tendría su primer juego oficial. Todos estábamos felices por él, pero la conversación quedó hasta ahí. El día del partido, en la tarde, surgió la idea de acompañarlo, ya que el juego era en la noche. Y yo, que no sé absolutamente nada de voleibol y además no soy fan de ningún deporte, dije que iría, más que todo porque era una excusa perfecta para vernos todos.
If you've read other posts about outings with my friends, you'll know that almost all of them end up being somewhat improvised, but this one surpassed them all by far. A while ago, one of my friends joined a volleyball team and mentioned that he would be playing his first official game. We were all happy for him, but the conversation ended there. On the day of the game, in the afternoon, the idea came up to go with him, since the game was in the evening. And I, who know absolutely nothing about volleyball and am not a fan of any sport, said I would go, mostly because it was a perfect excuse to see everyone.
El juego sería en La Asunción, en la sede de INJUDEMA, que es un instituto deportivo. Antes de eso, sinceramente, no sabía dónde quedaba, aunque luego sí pude ubicarme mejor. El punto de encuentro fue una de las plazas de Juan Griego y, estando allí, aproveché para tomar algunas fotos de las decoraciones de Navidad. No estaban todas encendidas porque estaban arreglando algo con la electricidad, pero las que pude ver estaban bonitas.
The game would be in La Asunción, at the INJUDEMA headquarters, which is a sports institute. Before that, to be honest, I didn't know where it was, although later I was able to find my way around better. The meeting point was one of the squares in Juan Griego, and while I was there, I took the opportunity to take some photos of the Christmas decorations. Not all of them were lit up because they were fixing something with the electricity, but the ones I could see were beautiful.
Y aunque dije que no entendía nada de voleibol, antes de que iniciara el partido me explicaron un poco cómo funcionaba. Fue divertido, la verdad. Tristemente, mi amigo no ganó, pero los felicitaron porque lo hicieron muy bien para ser su primer partido contra un equipo con bastante experiencia. Al final, les dieron una charla sobre lo que podían mejorar, y lo que más me gustó fue la reflexión del capitán del equipo contrario, quien les dijo que aún tenían mucho por recorrer y que para ganar, primero hay que perder.
Algo chistoso que ocurrió al salir y que fue otra prueba de que no nací para los deportes es que la pelota se salió de la cancha y justo me dió a mí,así que fue mi señal jajsja.

And although I said I didn't understand anything about volleyball, before the game started they explained a little bit about how it worked. It was fun, actually. Sadly, my friend didn't win, but they congratulated them because they did very well for their first game against a fairly experienced team. At the end, they were given some advice on what they could improve, and what I liked most was the reflection of the opposing team's captain, who told them that they still had a long way to go and that to win, you first have to lose.
Something funny happened when we went outside, which was further proof that I wasn't born for sports: the ball flew out of the court and hit me, so that was my cue.hahaha
