Hello my dear friends, today I want to share with you my joy of reuniting with friends that life has given us, and that time, far from extinguishing our friendship, strengthens it every day.
It had been almost two years since we last met. It was terrible news that gave us a boost. Yes, one of our dear friends left us suddenly, without warning. Our Martha Guerra was a warrior, living up to her last name. She always told us she preferred to share good news. She transmitted to us her desire to live and her way of enjoying life. She taught us to always look on the bright side and face problems with courage.
Countless times she offered us options for our reunion, but we never agreed. We always had excuses that, although they were real, could be resolved. Only upon learning of her unexpected departure did she give us the courage to gather in her honor to remember her as she deserved, with love and joy. This is what characterizes our group.
We gathered at the home of our guardian angel, our Ángela, who lives up to her name and is always willing to help everyone. We immediately got busy organizing things. Everyone would bring something to eat or drink to share. It didn't matter what we brought; the important thing was to participate.

Hola mis queridos amigos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi alegría de un reencuentro entre amigos que la vida nos regaló y que el tiempo lejos de apagar la amistad, la fortalece cada día más.
Hacían casi 2 años que no nos reuníamos, fue una terrible noticia la que nos puso las pilas, sí, una de nuestras queridas amigas se nos fue de repente, sin avisar, nuestra Martha Guerra era una guerrera, hacía honor a su apellido, siempre nos decía que prefería dar noticias alegres, nos transmitía sus ganas de vivir y su manera de disfrutar la vida, nos enseñó a siempre ver el lado bueno y enfrentar los problemas con valentía.
Infinidad de veces nos daba opciones para nuestro reencuentro, pero nunca nos poníamos de acuerdo, siempre teníamos pretextos que, aunque eran reales se podían solucionar, solo al conocer de su partida inesperada nos dio el valor de reunirnos en su honor para recordarla como ella merecía, con amor y alegría, esto es lo que caracteriza a nuestro grupo.
Nos reunimos en casa de nuestro ángel de la guarda, hace honor a su nombre, nuestra Ángela que siempre está dispuesta a ayudar a todos, enseguida nos pusimos en función de la organización, cada cual llevaría algo de comer o tomar para compartir, no importaba lo que llevara, lo importante era participar.
When everyone was there, we made an opening toast in honor of all those who are no longer with us, including our beloved Martica and our Biochemistry teacher, María Elena, who passed away a few days ago and we were deeply saddened by her loss. She was an eternal young woman who actively participated in our WhatsApp group, always bringing love, humor, and joy. I also want to pay tribute to Amparito; may her soul always be illuminated; we all remember her with much love.
It was a very emotional moment, but necessary because they will always be with us, and we will remember them with smiles because that's what they would have wanted.
Cuando ya estábamos todos hicimos un brindis inicial en homenaje a todos los que ya no están físicamente, entre ellos nuestra querida Martica y nuestra profesora de Bioquímica, María Elena, quién partió hace pocos días y nos dolió mucho, era una joven eterna que participaba activamente en nuestro grupo de WhatsApp, aportando amor, jocosidad y alegrías siempre. Quiero también homenajear a Amparito, que su alma se encuentre iluminada siempre, todos la recordamos con mucho amor.
Fue un momento muy emotivo, pero necesario porque ellas estarán siempre acompañándonos y las recordaremos con sonrisas porque ellas así lo hubiesen querido.
When friends who live in other countries learned about our event, they offered to support us with gifts of food and drinks so we wouldn't want for anything and had a fun day. So, together, we managed to get ham, chorizo, various types of croquettes, cookies, bread, cream for snacks, mayonnaise, cakes, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, wine, sodas, popcorn, @chocolatesalile, and even coffee.
Cuando los amigos que viven en otros países supieron de nuestra actividad se brindaron a apoyar con obsequios de comida y bebida para que no nos faltara nada y pasáramos un día divertido. Así entre todos logramos tener jamones, chorizo, croquetas de varios tipos, galletas, pan, pasta para bocaditos, mayonesa, cakes, helados, refrescos, cervezas, vinos, refrescos, rositas de maíz, @chocolatesalile y hasta café.
We experienced emotional moments because we communicated via video calls with our friends who weren't present. These were moments of great emotion because we hadn't seen many of them since we were in college.
The friendships forged during college are very powerful because we shared difficult moments of study, years of sacrifice, but also fun. We reminisced about happy times, classroom anecdotes, experiences that remain etched in our memories and form the basis of a friendship that endures over the years.
Vivimos momentos emotivos porque nos comunicamos por video-llamadas con nuestros amigos que no estaban presentes, son momentos de mucha emoción porque a muchos de ellos no los vemos desde que estudiábamos en la universidad.
La amistad forjada durante la etapa universitaria es muy poderosa porque se comparten momentos difíciles de estudios, años de sacrificios, pero también de diversiones. Estuvimos recordando aquellos momentos felices, anécdotas en las aulas, vivencias que quedan grabadas en la memoria y forman la base de una amistad que perdura a pesar de los años.
Some people don't like to talk about their past years, but I am proud of my years and of sharing with everyone that we've known each other for 44 years.
Although life took us in different directions, the love of that friendship remained, and it only took a drop of affection scattered by the arrival of technology to revive it, thanks to which we see, talk, and find each other, no matter how far apart we are.
Thanks to this, we regain our youth with every encounter; we feel the same as we did in our college years.
Hay personas que no les gusta hablar de los años pasados, pero yo sí siento orgullo de mis años y de compartir con todos que hace 44 años nos conocemos.
Aunque la vida nos llevó por rumbos diferentes, el amor de esa amistad quedó latente y solo bastó una gotica de cariño dispersada por la llegada de la tecnología para evivirla, gracias a la cual nos vemos, hablamos y encontramos, sin importar cuán lejos estemos.
Gracias a esto recuperamos nuestra juventud en cada encuentro, nos sentimos igual que en los años universitarios.
In our group, joy is very contagious, and we show it by dancing. Dancing is fun and unites us like siblings. We have fun like teenagers, regardless of the physical aches and pains that are forgotten because our souls are happy.
En nuestro grupo la alegría es muy contagiosa y lo demostramos bailando, el baile divierte y nos une como hermanos, nos divertimos como adolescentes sin importar los dolores del cuerpo que se olvidan porque el alma está feliz.
At this stage of our lives, friendship is very important. It shows us that no matter how old we are, there is always room to laugh and support each other at all times.
At the end, we made another toast to our friendship.
