Last Saturday, the Sacred Image of the Divine Shepherdess returned to its home at the shrine bearing her name in the neighboring town of Santa Rosa, where it will remain until next year.
This event, held every year on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, marks the end of the image of the Virgin Mary—venerated as a shepherdess—touring the city’s various parishes, communities, and institutions. The tour begins on January 14, a date that has become one of the most important and well-attended Catholic events worldwide.
Although the number of faithful on this occasion is only a tiny fraction of those who usually participate in the January procession, there is always a large group of people who follow it through the streets and avenues until its arrival.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.

El pasado sábado, la Sagrada Imagen de la Divina Pastora, regresó a su hogar en el Santuario que lleva su nombre en la vecina población de Santa Rosa, donde permanecerá hasta el próximo año.
Este evento que se realiza cada año el sábado anterior al Domingo de Ramos, marca el final del recorrido por las diferentes parroquias, comunidades e instituciones de la ciudad, de la imagen de la Virgen María en su advocación de una pastora, que se inicia el 14 de Enero, una fecha que se ha convertido en uno de los mas importantes y concurridos eventos del catolicismo a nivel mundial.
Aunque el número de fieles en esta ocasión es apenas una minúscula fracción de la que suele participar en la procesión de Enero, siempre hay un nutrido grupo de personas que la siguen por las calles y avenidas hasta su llegada.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
