De pequeña veía ánime junto a mi hermano sin saberlo. Para nosotros eran solo los dibujos animados a los que teníamos acceso por la televisión pública, pues en esos años, ni siquiera el servicio por cable existía. De hecho, recuerdo cuando en nuestro edificio colocaron una antena parabólica, eso fue un boom para todos, que ya luego terminó siendo el nido de algunos zamuros y fue desmontada antes de que terminara cayéndose por si sola.
Cuando mi hijo mayor se inició en la secundaria, justo apareció la pandemia y arruinó toda vida social, por lo que él buscó refugio en ver cosas por internet, topándose con el mundo del ánime y manga, del cual quedó prendido desde entonces. Con él fue que volví a disfrutar no solo de los clásicos de mi infancia, sino que me actualicé en las nuevas historias, compartiendo desde entonces esa pasión con él.
Ahora, cuando salimos y pasamos por una tienda dedicada a la merch de este tipo de productos alusivos a los personajes de esas historias venidas desde otros continentes, es casi una parada obligada, así sea solo para ver y entretenernos un rato.
Parece algo simple, pero a mi esta conexión a través del ánime no solo me gusta pues es una puerta de entrada al mundo de mi hijo, sino que también me lleva a rememorar la época de mi infancia.
When I was a child, I used to watch anime with my brother without knowing it. When my eldest son started high school, the pandemic appeared and ruined all social life, so he sought refuge in watching things on the internet, stumbling upon the world of anime and manga, which he has been hooked on ever since. It was with him that I came back to enjoy not only the classics of my childhood, but I was updated in the new stories, sharing since then that passion with him.
Now, when we go out and pass by a store dedicated to the merch of this type of products alluding to the characters of these stories coming from other continents, it is almost an obligatory stop, even if it is only to see and entertain us for a while.
It seems something simple, but I like this connection through anime not only because it is a gateway to the world of my son, but also takes me to remember the time of my childhood.
