Last weekend was full of pleasant surprises. We were unexpectedly invited to a baby shower, and the party was held at a country estate with a pool—an idyllic place, especially because of the weather. I'm one of those rare, melancholic people who love seeing gray, even almost black, skies, haha. I think it made a beautiful contrast with the colors of the place. The green of the plants becomes more intense at this time of year when the rains begin, and I was particularly struck by how the palm trees stood out.
El fin de semana pasado estuvo lleno de sorpresas agradables, nos invitaron intempestivamente a la celebración de un Baby Shower y el lugar donde se llevó a cabo la fiesta era una finca con piscina, un lugar idílico pero en especial por el clima, ya que soy de esas raras personas melancólicas que aman ver el cielo gris y hasta casi negro, jeje creo que hacían un bonito contraste con los colores del lugar, el verde de las plantas se hace más intenso en esta época del año cuando empiezan las lluvias, y me llamó mucho la atención como destacaban las palmeras.
Then the place gradually filled with cars as the guests arrived, obscuring the view of the surrounding plants. Even so, since I hadn't planned on going in the pool because I suspected it would be freezing, I simply admired the surroundings. I must confess that I'm not a big nature lover and prefer urban environments—that's why I live in the city—but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate its beauty and understand its importance. In fact, I enjoy being in contact with nature from time to time; it's a necessity.
Luego el lugar se fue llenando de autos a medida que fueron llegando los invitados restando la visibilidad de las plantas que rodean el sitio, pero aún así, tal como yo no pensaba meterme en la piscina porque intuía que debía estar muy fría, entonces me dediqué a admirar el lugar. Debo confesar que no soy muy amante de la naturaleza y prefiero los ambientes urbanos, pro eso vivo en la ciudad, pero eso no significa que yo no sepa apreciar su belleza y entender su importancia, de hecho de vez en cuando me gusta estar en contacto con la naturaleza, es una necesidad.
During my walk I found coconut trees even with coconuts, they look very beautiful and unusual there, so far from the beach 😁
En mi recorrido encontré cocoteros incluso con cocos, se ven muy bonitos y atípicos allí, tan lejos de la playa 😁
But the best find I made was this! Ahhh! A Peritas tree. I don't know what they call this fruit in other countries, but here it has several names. For example, in my family we call them "Peritas" (little pears) but some people know them as "Puma Rosa" or "Puma Gas." The texture and flavor are similar to apples; they're delicious. As I got closer, I could see that it had many fruits, although unfortunately they were green.
Pero ele mejor hallazgo que hice fue este, ¡Ahhhh! un árbol de peritas, no sé como les llamen a esta fruta en otros paises pero aquí tiene varios nombres, por ejemplo en mi familia la conocemos como "Peritas" pero hay personas que las conocen por "Puma Rosa" o "Puma Gas" la textura y el sabor es parecido al de las manzanas, es delicioso. Al acercarme pude darme cuenta de que tenía muchos frutos aunque lamentablemente estaban verdes.
When I stood in the shade of the tree, I discovered more and more bunches laden with this delicious fruit, and some weren't even green; in fact, you could see they were ripening. The only downside was that the ripe ones, and those in the most advanced stages of ripening, were up there, far out of my reach. They look close in the photos, but that's because of the camera's zoom. Anyway, I managed to pick up a few that had fallen to the ground, and even though they weren't fully ripe, they were still delicious.
Cuando me puse bajo la sombra del árbol descubrí más y más racimos llenos con esta deliciosa fruta y algunas no estaban tan verdes, de hecho se notaba que estaban madurando, lo único malo es que las maduras y las que ya estaban en proceso de maduración más avanzado estaban allá arriba, muy lejos de mi alcance, en las fotos se ven cerca pero es por el zoom de la cámara, de todos modos logré recoger algunas que habían caído en el piso jeje y aunque no estaban maduras del todo estaban igualmente deliciosas
It makes me laugh because on the farm next door there were some children who, when they saw me picking fruit off the ground, started asking me to give them some through the fence, since obviously they couldn't reach the fruit from the other side, so I picked some for myself and for them.
Me da risa porque en la finca de al lado había unos niños que cuando me vieron recogiendo frutos del suelo empezaron a pedir que les diera a ellos a través de la cerca, ya que obviamente no podían alcanzar las frutas desde el otros lado, entonces yo recogía para mi y para ellos.
In conclusion, I had a wonderful weekend with family and friends, surrounded by nature and relaxation, and to top it all off, nature even rewarded me, hehe. Well, I'm glad I was able to share this lovely moment with you all.
En conclusión, pasé un fin de semana muy agradable en compañía de familia y amigos, rodeada de naturaleza y relax y por si fuera poco hasta la naturaleza me dio recompensas, jeje. Bueno, me alegra haber podido compartir este lindo momento con ustedes.
