There's something about black and white photos that often evoke feeling of nostalgia, making you feel like going back in time. Lol. Honestly, capturing photos in black and white mode adds a touch of elegance or timelessness to photos.
These photos I share with you were taken at a recent cultural event - Igbo National Conference, which I attended. As the highlights of the event unfolded, I found myself drawn to capturing the moments in black and white.
The decision to opt for monochrome photography was largely due to the theme of the conference which focused on exploring historical events in Igbo culture.
One the official media crew, capturing the moment on stage as one of the speakers discussed the topic of the event.
Another shot of the stage captured both the camera man and a young boy with a phone, who's focused on capturing the moment.
Another random shot of a photographer capturing the moment. Hehehe.
Looking at the images, you'd agree with me that the black and white mode added a timeless quality to the images, and equally complemented the event's historical focus. I'm glad I opted for black and white to emphasize the moment's essence.
Since my camera'sfocus was on the photographers, I had to capture me too. 😂
