Here in the dCityverse there's a lot of interesting near-future updates.

4th Edition

There will be a 4th edition of dCity NFT cards coming up. I do not know when, but it’s on the horizon at least. This is incredibly exciting. A new set of NTFs to get my grubby mits on.

To position myself in a strong position before any potential pre-sale or pre-mint, my goal is to save up a lot of liquid SIM. This SIM will be used to buy or mint as many 4th edition cards as possible, as soon as possible.

This would require a big bag of SIMs to spend in a rapid pace. Which, unfortunately, is a hard goal to combine with my other goals.

Goal: Save up a lot of SIM for coming purchases.

Technology Update

Technology will be back. No idea when, but likely decently soon. This will be a game changer, literally. It completely changes the process of minting tech cards.

Once this update drops, I want to be in a good position to take advantage of this change. Gaining an decently cheap and easy access to tech cards will make it a lot easier to combine higher tier buidlings.

To achieve this position, I need a lot of the quite new combined card, the Research Base. I’m not entirely sure of the exact process after the new update is launched, but as far as I understand it, Research Bases will play a direct role. Possibly in obtaining the Tier 1 tech cards.

Besides Research Bases I need enough Education. This seems to be tied to the time it would take to acquire Tier 2-5 tech cards. As far as I understand, the cap will be 10,000 Education, so that's the starting point to reach.

There’s also hints about a new Combined card that utilizes all current tech cards, so I’m picking up a spare of each tech cards now, to make sure none of the possible required tech cards will skyrocket any higher that the currently have. This strategy might backfire financially, as tech cards might become easier to obtain. At least obtaining specific tech cards, not in bulk.

All this requires quite a lot of SIMs spent now, in preparation. SIMs part of me wonders if they’d be better saved in preparation of the release of 4th.

Goal: Spend a lot of SIMs now in preparation of Technology Update.

SIM Box

This is truly something to look forward to. An event or an airdrop. A lot of really cool stuff. It seems to have been in the works for a long time, so I have absolutely no guess as to when this drops.

To gain the most of the potentially coming SIM Box drop, I need a lot of SIM Power. Like, millions. So I need so save up a lot of SIMs to keep and to let mature into SP, due to the running 30 day average way that SP is calculated.

Among other things, this drop seem to will include blueprints for Combined Technologies. Definitely something I want to be in on from the start.

Goal: Save millions of SIMs, to keep. Long term.

Closing Thoughts

So there we have three conflicting goals, and all are great ways to use the SIMs.

  1. Save to keep long-term
  2. Save to use up soon
  3. Don’t save, and buy up relevant cards now

Quite the conundrum. Currently I'd say my efforts are 60% focusing on long-term SIM savings, 20% focused on preparing for Technology, and 20% focusing on putting away SIMs for the arrival of 4th Edition.

Which of the coming updates in dCity are you the most excited for?
