Here's my short entry on the challenge which is the topic"Sounds of Home".@justineparke thank you for initiating this kind of challenge!
Every morning when I woke up, what I often heard was the clink,clink of a spoon against a bowl or a cup.
I used to wake up late in the morning most especially when its Saturday or Sunday.Aside from the loud snore I've heard from my brother's deep sleep that caused me to wake up,this clinking sound of a spoon against the cup was also a bit irritated my ear and forced me to watch over who's clinking the spoon.
I knew its mother who woke up early preparing our food for breakfast.She used to drink first thing in the morning her morning routine "drinking salabat".Together with the small kids my mother were very happy serving these kids mixing their favorite drink hot choco or milk paired with these banana fritters.
Clink!clink!clink!it's a sound that when spoon touched against the cup that will mark the beginning of your day----not the alarmed clock but the tap!tap!clink!clink! of the silver spoon that were used by the kids in stirring it against the cup.
The yelling and laughing of the kids were also the sound that will marked your day.And the house will really looked like a game center,some kids were running,and were teasing to one another.
The tap tap clink clink sound of the ceramic plates against the silverware, will slowly made me realized that these were the pleasant sound everyday goes unnoticed that started and made the most of the day.
And these ceiling fans will add up the noise(a beautiful noise)inside the house.The whispers on the spin of these ceiling fans was not a good lullaby song to hear.It's plastic blades were a bit annoying and will really get you destructed with its mysterious sound.It's a bit old and were not being replaced with a new one that's why you'll be bothered with its whirring and whoosing sound of the blades while smashing it on air.
All of these sound became the background of our daily lives that were left unnoticed:
The clinking of breakfast dishes, the hum of a fan in the early morning, laughter of the kids, or even the chatter moments of our neighborhood —these were the sounds that etched and marked comfortably into everyone's day.This simple and ordinary sounds reminded us that this were the sounds that made our house--into a home!
