RE: I Want My MTV

This is fuckin' genius.

Do you wanna write a book?

I'll be back left and you are the writer.

When people say I want my MTV, they aren’t really asking for a channel to return. They’re remembering the moment before the fall

All I do these days, mostly, is say I miss the good 'ol days.

I used to listen to the top 20 on the radio every Friday night and fall alssp before it got to No. 1 - usually.

I used to site, for hours, after school to watch our version of MTV (Top of the Pops) all afternoon. We dressed like them. We danced like them. It was a revolution of creativity and freedom that died with the reality, and failure for the majority, of Capitalism in the states in the 90s.

**This **is when it was last innocent and full of possibility...

Let's write a book! I have the outline and idea. But I am too lazy to write at the moment and it seems like an overwhelming project for one person...

Sort:

Emphasis on reality of Capitalism unfortunately. The death of MTV was just Capitalism doing what Capitalism does. Unfortunately.

I can pump out articles of 500-1000 words no problem, but a much-longer book would be quite the challenge...

Much longer books take years.

What else are we going to do to keep busy in the Zombie Apocalypse?

It's music based. And it discusses (unethical) Capitalism. Shhhhhh... they're listening ;)

Just not to any good music anymore

I'd add Bo Burnham's "Repeat Stuff" here but Google will prolly lock me down for another two years. (*spoiler - I don't thunk it's poor Google anymore)
