On special occasions at work, my husband would receive a gift certificate from the company. It wasn't that much but since don't used it regularly, he sometimes could accumulate good amount to be use in purchasing for his balikbayan box.
Thus the GC could be used exclusively in Carrefour, one of the grocery stores near his workplace. So when I visited him there months ago, we used this GC to purchase for pasalubong (presents) as I went home.
What amazed me upon entering the building was there was no Security Guard checking the bags of each shopgoer unlike in my country. It was like people no what are the does and dont's and they complied.
While roaming around the supermarket, I found these blueberries and couldn't help but to get a pack as it was expensive back home.
And this bread looks mouthwatering! I badly wanted to buy one in each flavor yet my flight would be the next day! How on earth could I finish eating it all? 🤣
I know what you are thinking, better not to buy as for sure I will be the one to eat it all. The husband says.
Just wait until I finish the grocery shopping and let us eat lunch. Ah, much better idea!
Where to eat was the problem!, LOL, off several restaurants I find it hard to choose 😆.
After minutes of roaming around, we landed here. I totally forgot the name yet, if you could read mandarin here it is. 😆
Hot soup is perfect as I feel a little bi cold due to the air-condition. Which one do I order? Well I could no longer recall but I did take a photo.
Soup was served in a different bowl and you will be the one to mix it along with other condiments based on your preferences.
After mixing here we are enjoying the meal plus added some tempura just for the husband.
In some restaurants that we've been to in Taiwan, drinks are unlimited. While writing as I was thinking if it was here too. Yet, since it's been months I am no longer sure but maybe not. Why? I didn't take a photo of beverage area. What I had was just a glass of our drinks.
Orange soda for me and coke for him!
And though I am not good at using chopsticks, there was no choice. No spoon and fork provided here.
Thanks for reading my short blog.
