Wednesday Walk: "Along the Channel today"!

Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #13 of 2026,and I went for a bike ride along the Channel.
But first, as always I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community - Congrats to you!

And "Thank You" for this community!

So, for this weeks #wednesdaywalk I wanted to take a bike ride to keep my miles up - so I took a ride along the Channel, which was extremely windy!
So first I rode to the Park and this is a look South down the Shoreline today,

And yes, the water is reaching the rocks and the Sandbars are gone!

And the Breeding Pond is full as well,

This is a look North up the Shoreline and this is about the most water I have seen in a few months!

Well seeing this I wanted to go down the Channel and see how things are down there. So I rode about a mile and a half down the Channel and first stop was the Lower Breeding Pond,

And a little closer,

Also full! This was a dry sandy area a day or so ago!

I saw some Kite Surfers so I headed in that direction. On the way I passed this Seagull,

And when the saw me they came right over,

And turned around and headed back,

Out on turnaround road the Police had something going on - I didn't get any closer,

Looking the other way, you can see the J.F.K. Causeway and bridge that goes over Pita Island and comes down on Padre Island,

This is the Causeway leaving here and heading that way,

And finally the Sun going down in the West over the back side of the Channel,

And then I headed home!
