RE: How do you prefer to drink your milk? (Mini comment contest # 11)

in Amazing Drinks10 days ago

Milk, such an essential and versatile food that I consume it in drinks, food and desserts, but I can't miss it, at bedtime, it has been a habit for me to drink it warm. Since I grew up, it was the tradition of my grandmothers to make sure that we did not go to bed without a glass of milk. When I grew up, I understood that it was very beneficial when it came to falling asleep. I passed this teaching on to my son. A great memory I have is that there was a milk they sold in cartons, extremely good and it was the Silsa brand, very fresh and tasty. I invite @yonismith51 @yorgar69 @ronimaria82

Hi @lanoican

I'm sorry for the late reply. For reasons unknown (although I can guess the real reason), my internet connection has been failing a lot these past few days.

What wonderful memories you're sharing! That habit your grandmothers taught you is quite healthy and beautiful—healthy, because it relaxes your body and gives you something gentle to digest during the night, and beautiful, because it connects you with your childhood memories, while you've passed that knowledge on to your son.

Regarding SILSA milk, I think I remember it. If I'm not mistaken, it was a white container with red letters, and yes, it was quite good, like many other Venezuelan products from decades ago.

Thank you so much for participating in the mini-contest.

Cheers!

@sirenahippie Thank you for your comments, there are many everyday things that bring back great memories. The internet is the daily problem we all have, don't worry, I always appreciate your details.
