Hello hivers! Today it's a totally different blog I'm going to share to you. We went to the wild because we're going to feet bamboo stalks. My husband wanted to turn back to his business he started four years ago. He stopped doing it because he is now serving the country but today he decided to get back because he has more plans and he needs more money for it. So I'm always in his back supporting for him.
Here he measures the bamboo so he can chop it into right size of pieces. He has so many specific measures I think there's six so he carefully measures it because if it is too short it won't be helpful anymore and if it's too long he has to cut another little piece and it would be very difficult.
These are the bamboo leaves. It looks too young but these are old. This kind of bamboo are little in number and also having very little yellow green leaves.
After cutting it from the main stem, he will clean it. Remove all the little stalks and small twigs and leaves from bottom to top.
This picture is the second day where he divided the bamboo into pieces. This comes from short and long stalks and this kind of cutting for me is a little bit dangerous. He got some cuts from the bamboo slide sometimes.
Then this kind of cut will turn to "sa-sa" That's our local term of making all the sides had slits and breaks the walls without breaking it from the whole bamboo.
We didn't stay here for two days with him we only visit him to bring water, food and extra shirts and pants or shorts because this is so itchy. He has to change clothes if he feels too itchy. The kids always have a kiss to their father wherever they see him.
There's a lot of mosquitoes so he light up a fire and put grasses to create a smoke that will make the mosquitoes stay away. He has so many mosquito bites. It's a tough job but this is his passion. I'm afraid of bamboo literally because when you get a cut it takes too long to heal and it will costs too much blood loss so he must be very careful. All his hands and feet has cuts but he is used to it.
That's all for today hivers. Tha j you so much for reading my blog. And next time we will let you see what we are making out of it. See you next blog!
