Our decision to donate should be planned ahead of time rather than by the spur of the moment. I gives me the time to thoroughly check the credentials of the organization behind it. What startles me are certain well known organization have a governing body that draws six-figure salaries, or discovering that less than half the funds actually go to the victims providing relief while most of the funds are wasted in bureaucracy, or rumored being involved in something worse. Choosing the organization we support should be done carefully and in advance @leemah1

Personal peer-to-peer donations are fantastic. One of the clear advantages of Blockchain technology without involving a costly Banking fee. It would cost me an additional $20USD to use SWIFT to send cash direct. This assuming that some infrastructure is still functioning.
