I've been a lover of anime for as long as I can remember. Like many anime fans, I fell in love with the anime world through Naruto. Growing up, I watched Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, but only in fragments, catching episodes whenever I had the chance. However, when I grew older and got a cell phone, I decided to watch it all over again and rekindle my love for it. I watched every episode- from 1-720 (Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.) Now, here’s where things get a bit interesting. When I joined Hive, the first thing I did was explore my areas of interest. That was when I discovered Hive Book Club, Homesteading, and some other communities. I had no idea that a community existed where I could share my hot opinions on anime and even participate in anime-related contests.
This evening, while engaging with @jessuses1381 , I decided to check his blog and I was not only surprised to see that he is an anime lover (owing to the number of anime reviews he has done), but I also discovered that there is a community for anime lovers- The anime realm, it has a nice ring to it. I was also surprised to see @fashtioluwa here. I never knew he was also an anime lover. The first thing I did was to read the rules and the pinned posts. Now that I have discovered this community, I have a lot of animes to talk about- from hidden gems waiting to be discovered by the anime fandom, to controversial debates about anime characters, I am ready to bring them all here. In this post, I’ll be sharing with you guys the anime I’m currently watching.
Usually, I binge-watch anime – isn't that the best way to enjoy it? If you’ve never tried watching anime while snacking and sipping a cold drink, you should give it a try. However, due to my tight school schedule, I had to adjust my routine. Unlike before, when I would binge-watch anime, I now limit myself to no more than three episodes per day. When you're overwhelmed with school books and PDFs, watching anime will be one of the last things on your list. My social media algorithm is tailored to show me anime videos frequently – about every five videos or so. A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon a scene from Black Clover. If you've seen Black Clover, I'm pretty sure you remember the part where Asta gets his grimoire. If you've seen Black Clover, you'll surely know the scene I'm talking about. That scene really caught my attention, so I had to download the anime.
I started watching it two months ago and it’s been interesting so far. One thing I like about Black Clover is its character development. Almost all the major characters experience character development; Let’s use Asta as an example. In a society where magic determines everything, Asta grew up with no magic. How do you expect a boy without magic to survive in such a society? Of course, he was mocked by his peers for not having magic, but he never gave up and continued training. A character who was weak (physically) and mocked for not having magical powers turned out to be so strong that he became the hero of the day on several occasions. That’s what I call solid character development.
Another notable thing I love about Black Clover is that it mixes action with comedy. I have seen so many anime and some of them will only give you this feeling of prolonged tension with no comic relief at all. I mean, we enjoy these things, but to make them better, they should be mixed with comic scenes. This is also one of the reasons why I enjoyed watching Naruto. Like Naruto, Black Clover is loaded with scenes that can make you crack your ribs.
So far, I have been enjoying watching this anime. I am almost done with the last season- about 15 episodes to go. From time to time, I enjoy discussing this anime with @abdulqudus and some of my other friends in Neoxian City. I’m glad I discovered this community and I hope to share more takes on anime and engage with other authors.
I generated the first and second images using MetaAi. The other images are screenshots from my device.
Thanks for reading.
