Good day my fellow hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life 🙂

Introduction & Movie Plot

The movie I’m sharing today is the latest action-packed thriller titled Raid 2 (2025), an Indian action drama that picks up right where its predecessor left off. If you’ve seen the first Raid movie, starring Ajay Devgn as the fierce and upright income tax officer, then you already know how thrilling that story was based on real-life events and showcasing one of India’s biggest raids. But this time, Raid 2 takes it up several notches with a brand new story, fresh suspense, and even more intense drama and action scenes. It’s not just about one raid anymore; this one digs deep into a chain of corruption rooted in power and politics.

The story begins in Lucknow, where Amay Patnaik (played once again by Ajay Devgn) is now a high-ranking officer with a no-nonsense reputation. After the massive success of the first raid, he’s transferred to another sensitive zone this time in Rajasthan where he stumbles upon a network of corrupt politicians, wealthy industrialists, and even senior law enforcement officers. What’s shocking is that these people have built a parallel system of illegal finance and underground wealth stretching across multiple states.

Amay receives an anonymous tip about an influential MLA hoarding black money. But unlike before, this time the stakes are even higher. The tip seems almost too perfect, and the people he’s up against are not only rich, but also dangerous willing to go to any lengths to stop the raid. The twist? There’s a mole inside the income tax department feeding information back to the criminals. This adds an entirely new layer of suspense as Amay has to play both investigator and protector fighting against betrayal from within.

Ajay Devgn, as always, delivers a powerful performance with his calm but intense demeanor. His presence on screen keeps you hooked. What makes the movie even better is that it doesn’t try too hard. The storyline is sharp, the dialogues hit home, and the emotional scenes especially those involving Amay’s family feel real and grounded. The film also gives a nod to the struggles of honest officers who often have to work alone, facing enormous pressure and threats.

There are several scenes where you’re at the edge of your seat especially during the raid itself, which is spread across multiple locations. The film masterfully builds tension as each hidden stash is uncovered, leading to a shocking revelation towards the end. I won’t spoil that for you, but trust me the final twist will make you want to re-watch the movie immediately.

This film also introduces a new antagonist played by Riteish Deshmukh, and I must say, his calm but menacing performance stands out. Unlike the loud villains we’re used to, his character is soft-spoken yet terrifying a master of manipulation and politics. The face-off between him and Ajay Devgn adds a gripping cat-and-mouse dynamic to the film.

Although the movie is over 2 hours long, the pacing is great. You don’t feel the drag because every scene contributes to the bigger picture. The background score adds to the tension, and the cinematography especially the way they capture the narrow lanes of Jaipur and Udaipur is beautiful.

I personally watched Raid 2 on its release weekend in the cinema and it was totally worth it. The crowd was fully engaged, clapping during the raid sequences and even gasping at the final reveal. It's rare to find an action film rooted in realism that’s also entertaining from start to finish.

If you liked the first Raid, this one will blow your mind. And if you haven’t seen the first part yet, I recommend watching it before jumping into Raid 2 because it makes you appreciate the evolution of Amay Patnaik's character even more.
