A few days ago I published my visit to this beautiful city, Memories of a visit to Venice, as promised I now bring you the rest of the tour of the iconic and renowned Basica de San Marcos.
After we arrived at St. Mark's Square, its majesty speaks for itself.
Most of the people in St. Mark's Square, were just going to visit the Basilica and others were just enjoying the people walking around in costume.
Every detail, the floor, the walls and everything in it is fascinating, once inside I couldn't decide what to photograph, quite a difficult decision.
The horses of San Marcos, located on the terrace of the Basilica, whose history harbours some uncertainty as to when they were created, including mention that it may have been BC.
The visit to the high altar is indescribable, being in this place is definitely an experience that stays in our minds forever.
The marble sculptures and the meaning behind each of them contain much of the history of Venice and its culture.
