Hola querida comunidad @ladiesofhive
Sinceramente, nunca he compartido esa idea.
Simplemente me escuchó.

Trust Is Not Built Overnight
Hello dear @ladiesofhive community
True friendships do not appear overnight. Like any meaningful relationship, they require time, respect, and the willingness to know each other beyond first impressions. This week's questions made me reflect on how valuable it is to find people who remain by our side through every stage of life.
1️⃣ There is a widespread belief that genuine friendships between women are difficult to find or maintain. Has that idea influenced the way you relate to other women?
Honestly, I have never shared that belief.
It is true that not everyone connects in the same way, but that happens among both women and men. I believe sincere friendships depend much more on trust, empathy, and respect than on gender.
My profession has allowed me to meet many women with very different life stories. I have met mothers worried about their children, young women facing major challenges, and older women who have overcome painful losses.
Listening to so many experiences has taught me that everyone carries invisible battles.
Perhaps that is why I try not to judge people too quickly or let stereotypes shape my opinions.
Over the years, I have come to value the friends with whom I can speak honestly, even when we do not always agree.
A true friendship does not need competition or constant comparison.
It should feel like a safe place where both people can simply be themselves.
Of course, like any human relationship, misunderstandings can happen.
But when there is affection and respect, I believe it is always worth having a conversation instead of allowing silence to create distance.
2️⃣ Tell us about a memorable friendship that made you realize you had found someone who would always stand by your side.
I remember a colleague at the hospital with whom I initially shared only work-related conversations.
We were part of the same team, greeted each other every day, and worked well together, but our relationship did not go much further than that.
One day, after a particularly difficult shift, I felt physically and emotionally exhausted.
She noticed it immediately.
As we were leaving the hospital, she simply asked,
"Do you have a few minutes to have a cup of coffee before you go home?"
I accepted without thinking much about it.
During that conversation, she did not try to solve my problems or offer endless advice.
She simply listened.
Sometimes, that is exactly what we need.
Someone willing to share a quiet moment, listen without interrupting, and remind us that we do not have to carry every burden alone.
From that day on, our friendship grew naturally.
Several years have passed, and we are still present for each other during life's important moments.
That experience taught me that lasting friendships do not always begin with extraordinary gestures.
Very often, they begin with a simple conversation at exactly the right time.
These questions reminded me that the most valuable friendships are not always the oldest or the most numerous.
They are the ones that make us feel understood, respected, and supported, even when life becomes difficult.
Thank you for this space for reflection.
A sincere hug to everyone.
