You have discussed it in detail. Even if we don't want to share our financial details, governments have ways to track our earning and it's not so difficult. Tax is something we don't want to pay, as we are not getting anything in return for the tax.

don't tell anyone what you do with your money.

I agree with you. There is no reason to share it with anyone.

The situation with governments is tough; they currently have access to everything, and if you ask me, I don't think it should be that way.
