Hello everyone. Since I started writing short reviews or opinions on anime series I've really enjoyed, one thing they all have in common is that many of them are from the same year. I think many of the most captivating and entertaining plots, even for short anime, came out in 2015. That year saw a wide variety of genres and stories from diverse categories that resonated strongly with viewers, making them a great companion during my studies. With so many options, there was always something to watch and clear my mind. And among these, and continuing with that year, a series aired that had a very striking sense of humor and, against all odds, entertained in the best chibi and moe style: "Miritati!"

Desde que comencé a hacer breves reseñas u opiniones de series de anime que me han gustado mucho, un elemento en común con la gran mayoría es que muchas de estas son del mismo año, y es que considero que muchas de las tramas más llamativas y divertidas, incluso siendo animes cortos, fueron en el 2015, ya que de alguna manera se vio una gran variedad de géneros e historias de diversas categorías que pegaron muy bien, por lo que en ese año fueron un gran acompañante en mi proceso educativo, ya que con tantas opciones siempre había algo para ver y despejar la mente. Y entre estas, y siguiendo con esa línea de año, salió en emisión una serie que de alguna manera tenía un humor muy llamativo e iba contra todo pronóstico a divertir al mejor estilo chibi y moe moe como lo es "Miritati!".
Created and illustrated by Mamo Williams, the manga was collected into five tankōbon volumes, published between 2009 and 2013. It was later adapted into an anime, directed by Hiroshi Kimura and produced by Creators in Pack, which aired in Japan in 2015 with a total of 12 episodes plus an OVA. A comedy, the story centers on Yano Souhei, a high school student who suddenly finds himself caught in the middle of a military conflict between countries. Due to a mistake, his father is drafted into one of the warring factions and sent to look after him. However, beyond that, the story unfolds as a series of endless adventures and random, unexplained events.
Creada e ilustrada por Mamo Williams en su formato manga recopilado en cinco volúmenes de tankōbon, publicados entre 2009 y 2013, y luego pasando a su adaptación al anime, el cual fue dirigido por Hiroshi Kimura y producido por el estudio Creators in Pack y emitido en Japón en el año 2015 con un total de 12 episodios más una ova. Con una categoría de comedia, nos centramos en la vida de Yano Souhei, un estudiante de secundaria que de la noche a la mañana se ve envuelto en medio de un conflicto militar entre países donde, por un error, su padre es reclutado en una de estas facciones y envía a dos agentes militares a su cuidado. Sin embargo, más allá de eso, se vuelve un sinfín de aventuras y momentos random sin explicación alguna.
As the story progresses, various characters appear who, far from being mere supporting characters or filler, become complementary personalities and emotions that shape the plot. While it may seem simple, its strength lies in how it gently addresses the military theme, adding a touch of comedy that, combined with the chibi style, classic jokes, beach scenes, and characters who play with modesty and the less restrictive humor of the time, is what makes this type of plot meaningful. Although there isn't a true villain, as the character who represents one becomes part of this fundamental array of personalities, it's more like an anime where, despite the plot, the comedy and the personalities of the characters are more captivating.
A medida que avanza, aparecen diversos personajes que, más allá de ser un secundario o un relleno, llegan a ser un complemento de personalidades y emociones que van dándole forma a la trama, que, pues, aunque parece simple, el toque en esta es el cómo tocan el tema militar con suavidad y le dan esa pizca de comedia que, mezclada con el estilo chibi y los clásicos chistes y escenas de playa o personajes que juegan un poco con el pudor y el cómo se tomaba el humor sin tantas restricciones en esos años, es lo que hace que tome sentido este tipo de tramas, pues aunque como tal no tenemos villano, ya que el personaje que lo representa pasa a formar parte de esa fundamental variante de personalidades, es más como un anime donde, aunque hay una trama, es más llamativa la comedia y forma de ser de quienes la protagonizan.
This is one of those anime where you laugh at the double entendres and where there's a touch of the main character's lechery, which is tempered by the girls. However, the number of funny and entertaining moments is considerable, and back in its day, it was one of those that spawned several memes. The character designs also cater to all tastes, as do the themes, such as plot twists with explosions and characters strategically placed for fanservice and to add a touch of irony to the plot, even though, as I said, it's all quite simple and straightforward. This anime manages to be good because it does a great job of eliciting a good laugh with minimal effort from those looking for fast-paced comedy with that kind of unpolished humor.
Este es de esos animes donde te ríes del doble sentido y donde está presente un poco el morbo por parte del personaje principal, pero que es aplacado por las chicas; sin embargo, la cantidad de momentos graciosos y divertidos es mucha y, en su época, era uno de los que solía tener varios memes. Los diseños, así mismo, de los personajes suelen dar para todos los gustos, así como las temáticas, como, por ejemplo, los plot twists con explosiones y personajes que están estratégicamente para el fanservice y para dar un toque de ironía a la trama, aunque, repito, sea algo simple y sencillo. Este anime llega a ser bueno, ya que logra con poco sacar una buena carcajada para los que buscan una comedia rápida y con ese estilo del humor sin tanto cuidado.
