Have you ever heard what older people say about dreams and their possible connection to portals to unknown places?
Karla was a 25-year-old woman. She had a stable life with a simple but comfortable job. She lived in a small rented apartment that, while not very spacious, was comfortable enough for her. She was close to her family and felt at peace with everything she had done. As a child, she had grown up with her mother's family, who had beliefs and a fascination with the paranormal and all the hidden meanings of everyday things. So she knew some of the things her grandmother had taught her and kept them as customs.
Every week she would cleanse her apartment of bad energies. She liked to burn mandarin peels because they were a natural incense burner that brought prosperity and also left a pleasant aroma. She even had this peculiar habit of regularly taking cleansing baths with salt, sugar, and blue soap, just as her uncles taught her to do when she started having difficulties in college. She didn't know if it worked or not, but she was so used to it and it was part of her family's customs that she simply didn't mind doing it.
During one of her vacations, a trip to some waterfalls far from the city came up. It was simple: they would spend four days camping outdoors and connecting with nature. She was excited about the idea since it had been many years since she had gone out to see new places, and it was always something she wanted to do. But when she told her family, her uncles were first to suggest that she take advantage of the waterfall to take purifying baths since it was said to be a good way to cleanse the body and energies naturally. Her grandmother took her hands and told her to be careful since that area was very popular for being a place dedicated to the practice of spells and all kinds of rituals. She also told her to be aware of her surroundings and not to touch anything strange.
Although Karla didn't mind listening to these instructions and had been used to it from previous trips, this time she didn't react well because she felt frustrated because she didn't want to think about those things and just wanted to enjoy the trip. She didn't care at all about the rumors about the place, even though she didn't know about it, and she just wanted to relax for once in a long time. So she left her family's house angrily and didn't want to hear anything else until she returned from the trip.

Weeks passed, and Karla found herself on this exciting adventure. She was eager to see the scenery, the nature, the distance from everything, and also that waterfall that so attracted her. The first day passed peacefully, a mixture of calm and intrigue. Everything was so green and full of animals, flowers, and a very natural scent that made both her and others forget all their daily routines.
While exploring the place with a friend, they came across an area that was darker than the others, full of discarded objects, ribbons, candles, and the like. Her friend began to tell them about all the rumors that had spread around the area, and how they used to perform spiritualist practices on people, and those who knew about this recommended not disturbing the area or touching anything. Karla remembered her family and for a moment she was filled with rage, feeling that even on her trip she couldn't get away from the topic. So she simply told her friend not to pay attention, saying that she didn't believe it or want to know about it. To vent her anger, she kicked a small glass jar, which rolled until it hit a rock and burst. Without further ado, she walked away from the place and back to where the others were.
What Karla didn't know was that in such distant places they didn't just do work for people but certain religions used to take advantage of the solitude of the places to lock up evil presences or spirits that tormented them, so without realizing it, the very jar that had broken was one of these. That night while everyone was sleeping Karla felt like someone was watching her and every time she managed to fall asleep she saw doors open and heard laughter so she woke up agitated and after several times she didn't want to pay any more attention to these dreams and tried to ignore them.

The days passed, and although she had a lot of fun, she couldn't help but feel that something was staring at her, but she still didn't want to pay attention to it. Even on the last day, while they were at the waterfall, she almost didn't realize it. She grabbed a bar of blue soap to clean herself, but she remembered her family and, annoyed, put it back in the bag she had. On the way back to her house, she kept feeling heavy and sleepy, and every time she fell asleep, she visualized chains, doors, laughter, and silhouettes. She didn't know what was happening, but she refused to ask her family.
And this didn't stop. In the following days, every dream was a dream of images and elements that seemed to take shape. For some reason, they seemed familiar, but she didn't know what they were. One night as she went to sleep something happened that left her scared, Karla went to bed out of nowhere and found herself in her kitchen sitting at her small table with a small cup containing a red liquid and an open notebook, she was lucid enough to feel that everything was real, every sensation of the place as if she were actually in her apartment and as she walked she came across a large mirror.
As she approached the mirror she could notice that it showed something of her, looking closely she could see her room, yes it was her room, every detail of it and above all she was in bed asleep just as she remembered, seeing that scared her and she walked away quickly but when she turned around she saw a silhouette take the cup that had been on that small kitchen table, then take the notebook and turn it towards her and when she looked at it, it had the word "you will be mine" written on it while a loud laugh was heard. At that moment Karla woke up scared and with her heart racing to know what was happening and without a doubt she had to consult him but, when she got out of bed she became pale and unable to move while she watched how on the wall was that mirror that was in her dreams and she didn't have mirrors in her room.....
