I need to be more mindful to hydrate myself more frequently due to more prolonged meetings as I do feel that my throat hurts a little whenever I had back to back meetings that I need to speak quite a fair bit on.
It does strain the throat quite a bit and sometimes I end up developing a sore throat which could end up causing me to have difficulty speaking. So prevention is better than rehabilitation. We need to remember to keep a bottle of water near us and hydrate whenever possible.
Nowadays, I will just fill up a big bottle of water whenever I go to office and bring it along wherever I go to ensure I keep myself hydrated. I hope this will help me prevent prolonged duration of sore throat and keep myself effective at meetings.
