Jacky had been under immense stress for the past few months and that had disrupted his sleep patterns and resulting in him getting insomnia even when he mental state is experiencing loads of fatigue.
He was desperate and seek a doctor to treat his condition. While the doctor mentioned that he can temporarily prescribe some sleeping pills to aid Jacky in getting to sleep but the bottom line that will truly help him will be managing his life stressors and also finding timeout for himself away from the stressors so that his mind will not be in a state of persistent stress.
In the first few days, after popping the amount prescribed by the doctor, there seem to be some form of improvement as he did manage to catch some good sleep each night. However, his stressors are still present and got worse because he still couldn't manage it properly which resulted in him increasing the dosage of the sleeping pills and he grew in dependence of them to get sleep. This was something he did not realize till the doctor told him there is an increase in the frequency of Jacky coming back to get more sleeping pills. With that, the doctor instead wrote him a doctor's memo and referred him to a professional medical counsellor to guide him on stress management.
